See! Even this your comment shows lack of enthusiasm to see people you despise go.

This macabre dance we're doing in Nigeria will never end until we go our separate ways.

I can tell you with all certainty that Nigeria can never work, people who hate each other can never be compatriots, doesn't work that way!
aribisala0:
How and where am I mad when Igbos say they want out?
Some Yorubas say the same that they want out that does not mean they have a mandate> . That some Igbos say something is very different from "Igbos say something"
So what do you mean by "Igbos say they want out" ? Have you appointed a spokesman or advocate ?
Talk is cheap. If you are serious you know what to do.

Listen, I genuinely want Nigeria to succeed but I know it's wishful thinking.

There has to be unity of purpose for a country to succeed. You and I know this does not exist in Nigeria. It doesn't matter what the cause is, what matters is we have proven for over half a century we're not willing to bury our differences and work together.

In divorce, it's called irreconcilable differences!

My bad

What is your business with my enthusiasm? Is there a competition? We do not seek your approval or endorsement.
So what kind of dance were we doing under Jonathan? When Jonathan was in power you were not talking about leaving you miscalculated in 2015 and started IPOB madness and blackmailing everybody?
We no send you . Dey your lane.

You used a word I like YOUNG NAIVE soldiers!

If they're young and naive and prone to youthful exuberance, why then did we make their reckless coup an entire Igbo coup?

At what point dud the Igbo race decide that these soldiers should represent them in carrying out a coup?

Because there was already hate and mistrust,
it quickly spiraled into an ethnic tragedy and has continued till this day. There were killing of Igbos in the 40s and 50s in the North so our founding fathers were living in fooools paradise when they thought they could make a nation out of people who despise each other!
Killings unfortunately will always be there it did not start today.
Is North not killing themselves today?
Were Igbos not killing themselves before and even today? Before you argue Remember intercommunal killings going in Ebonyi state and Aguleri and Umuleri war.In the West remember Ife and Madakeke war.It is human nature there must be conflict here and there even in families. As for whether it is Igbo coup, ask yourself why you seems to have sympathy for the coup plotters.I am Igbo and see their actions as anti Igbo in every aspect that has set us back for decades.

There is nothing wrong wanting out? You as people have to figure out the optimal way to achieve that. Since you are among the most dispersed ,a starting point would be to start relocating to your homelands. People would take you quite seriously when you do that go back home and stay there.
As adults you have to deal with reality not fantasy. Most of you are in fantasy land on this issue with no realistic plans just empty talk Empty ignorant talk

Let's even assume that what the man said has some credence.. why didn't Ironsi execute the coup plotters?

Ths Igbos can continue deceiving gullible people including willing Yorubas but they can't deceive the North. Ab0kis no get time for story. You killed their Sarduana, killed Tafawa Balewa and every leader of thought in North but somehow the premier of the then Eastern region Michael Okpara, an Igbo and other Igbo politicians all escaped the brutal killings.
Tell us another joke jor.

I do not have sympathy for the coup plotters. My issue is why must present generation suffer for what they have no hand in?

If we cannot bury our differences and forge ahead, then let's go our separate ways. All the nationalities in Nigeria precedes Nigeria by over a 1000 years so what is Nigeria?

If I agree with you, what about the founding fathers of the West and North? Awolowo said oil and water cannot mix yet went ahead with it. I really do not understand!

You made it look like Igbos are the only one not happy in Nigeria, heck no, most of the nationalities are not happy however some are not ambitious to do anything about it. This country CAN NEVER WORK!
I believe that was where PA Awo goofed. He should have just pull yoruba nation out of this colonial creation. But then, he wasn't to know that zik has already conceded the topmost post to the sardunna as requested.

The sardunna was never going to agree to a Nigeria where his people would be subservient to the infidels to the south unless of course, he was given power at the center.

Other ethnic nationalities that make up Nigeria is not ready for break up the country so we as a people must do what we have to do to get our rightful dues within Nigeria as permited by the constitution.

Your analysis is wrong

The North did not have 25% stake. What do you mean by that?

How many legislators were there in Parliament in 1960?
How many were from the North?
The guy is absolutely right... you have to start using your brain.
3 independent regions formed Nigeria at independent before the midwest was created thereafter.
The regions were Western, Eastern and Northern with equal stake.

If you're not ready to enthrone equity and justice then you're inadvertently ready for breakup. There's precedence as happened in Yugoslavia where the Serbs were lording over everyone.

Justice and Equity meaning that the major parties cede their presidential tickets to Ibos with no contest? Yes there is precedence but your Fulani friends whom you empowered are telling you there will not be a breakup without another genocide. So you need a plan to deal with that not online noise a plan that will work. You also need friends If Nnamdi Kanu was rendered as he was and no one coughed it does not look like you have many friends
.

You have decided the Yoruba are your enemas so we will stand back and watch the film and just like last time we owe you nothing

Others will join in due course....as the country continues to decline, it will get to a threshold.

The breakup will be like USSR where not a single shot was fired cos everybody was tired as at then

You are ignorant and proud of it

How old are you? You come here telling me to use my brain> God knows for a fact that your father cannot say that to me in real life

INorthern Nigeria had 174 seats
Eastern Nigeria 73 seats
Western Nigeria 65 seats
The number of seats was based on the 1953 census

Whoever had the majority in Parliament became Prime Minister . That is how it worked

The Federal government in the parliamentary system was based on the number of Legislators it was not "equal stake!

It is bad enough that you are ignorant and worse that you then think you know when you are totally clueless?

Whenever things favor you it is merit when it is others it is nepotism

You generally never see good in other folk and are seen as toxic
DMerciful:
You know you're a goal post shifter right?

SE took DEPUTY senate president, Yorubas were supported to take Speaker and not deputy yet they rejected it through Tinubu so they could have propaganda to sell.

You showed a link about Yoruba elders complaining of GEJ marginalization and I told you Tinubu caused it. You agreed but found a way to shift the goal post!
That was the conversation

Who is shifting goalpost

You said that Yoruba are happy when Eboes are being dealt with
I showed you a link where your folk were celebrating because they though Yoruba wee being dealt with to show that you are the ones guilty of that and now you are talking rubbish?

You are just dishonest to your DNA

Quit whining bro

Yoruba have no major problem with Eboes and generally tolerate their many quirks.

The Eboes grew up on a diet of hatred for Yoruba .The story is Yoruba caused them to lose the Biafra war and somehow dispossessed them of phenomenal wealth. A mixture of generational trauma and obsessive hatred. We did not seize your property or do you harm so you have a lot of mind purging to do

There you talk about being civil but to my face you are telling me Eboes are the most hardworking and when I raise it you ask me to suck it up? The feedback is that you come across as borderline barbaric> Especially when all the evidence negates this narcissistic sense of self. Anyhow fast you drive you will always see the road in front .That is Yoruba to you. You know the truth but must show yourselves. That is very uncivilized conduct .Stop telling people you are better that or best this. Just FEM!!!
It is difficult to be civil if you are not honest. The whole thing is a waste.
You have not shown a track record anywhere in your land of good governance or even any kind of vision so from that perspective leaving tribalism to one side I won't trust my affairs to your current politicians as you are too emotional to be reliable partners.

The army cannot fight two solid wars at the same time. There was a good opportunity to pull out. If you're afraid to loose a few persons then you're not ready. Even till today America still looses soldiers in the middle east
