CAF have rejected Ghana request to move the game from Gold Coast to Kumasi given that inspection and approval has already been done on the Gold Coast stadium last year...

Abuja or Lagos, I'm not sure there was any news report confirming where we will host our own leg..
They want to fill up the stadium with their noisy fans....I understand grin

After the incident, the robbers later came out to apologise. They regretted their actions...they claimed they couldn't recognize him since it happened at night. I didn't watch Etim Esin but I have read a lot about him. He was a national asset.
They shot the star boy of the team some hours to a crucial game.
Did Nigeria win the game without Esin?

M.k.o Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
Commissioning the newly renovated stadium with a win against our bredas won't be a bad idea.

Remo Stars doing well do you think they can pull a Leicester City and win the whole thing?
That would be a super Leicester cos they just came up lol but I wouldn't bet on it happening tbh. The Rivers state government seems in the mood for the league trophy and more importantly they have forwards that will get them goals. Look out for Fidelis and Plateau United too.

Watching Aribo for the first time at length.
Sluggish. No progressive. Looks for the easy passes.
Good movement but this old firm derby too quick for him.
Might be a bad day though.

Bassey unbelievably good.
Balogun rolls Royce.

I've never seen Aribo play this poorly before. I watch Rangers' games.

Bassey is a baller at LB. So fluid in his play. Like Aina but sleeker and with more football sense.

The Bassey lad doesn't play like a fullback at all, so why was he being played as CD?

What this nations cup as shown is that to win a major competition you need atleast one class player in your team. Mane and Salah have not been that spectacular in this competition but they have been very crucial at vital moments for their team(with goals and assists). Nigeria lack such star figures, that's why we will struggle to win major tournaments.

LoL

I beg to differ.

In cup competitions, you need a lot of luck as well. Infact, after playing good football, luck is the next best thing you need in cup competitions because it's not like league , where you can always remedy the situation with other games.

Remember, Senegal could have easily been chilling at home with Algeria after the group stage, no thanks to the last minute penalty in their first group game. It's a fact that they were really poor in that group stage, and could have easily been sent packing, if not for mother luck grin

What is defending failures? CAF did not allow extra addition after Ighalo pulled out. So what should Eguavoen do? Choke CAF?

Ishaq Kayode with a brace today giving him 9 goals in 10 matches
Hopefully Remo does sustain this tempo when half Season comes. Kwara were hot and playing good football but lost tempo all of a sudden.

You quite right. With Oshimen or Ighalo we could have been the one in the finals! Mahrez carried Algeria and ghalo carried Nigeria, 2019.

Ighalo did not carry us 2019, dead that talk. The number of big chances he missed surpassed the goals he scored by far. Remeber vs. Guinea where he refused to square the ball to Musa for a tap in? vs. SA where he missed a one-on-one Chuks set up nicely for him? the only game he really carried us in was that Cameroon game... His other games had goals from deflected shots, PKs and tap-ins.
