like i said ship will never berth at d port, they only move cargos in barges, just a very tiny river moving cargos in barges depending on ports from lagos and onne... dat one na port?
Because Nigerian government is not yet financially prepared to fund the dredging of the port to enable ships berth at Onitsha port.

But let them start with cargo berges, it will encourage the next government to embark on full dredging to enable ships to berth at Onitsha port, especially when they taste and see the huge income inflow from the Onitsha port.

I commend Amaechi and Buhari on this one if it's actually true

Anambra is obviously doing very well, and it can only get better. Soon the state will become the benchmark for good governance in Nigeria. Truly the light of the nation.

On the side, I want to ask. Where will the barges be loaded enroute to Onitsha port. Is it at Onne? If at Onne, what river route will the barges take from Onne to Onitsha?
I think the barges will come from Lagos to Onitsha straight

The only way Igbos can leave other parts of Nigeria and return back to Southeast is if Nigeria divides.

So long as Nigeria remains one nation, so long as you guys want Nigeria to remain one nation, nobody, I mean no Nigerian have the constitutional right to eject or demand that law abiding people from other regions leave their region, it can never stand. Issuing such threat will facilitate division of Nigeria without gun shot.

Or why do you think Northern politicians and elites rushed to condemn and berate their Northern youths when they tried that nonsense of issuing quit notice to Igbos in the North some years back? Because they know that doing such means they have divided Nigeria with their own hand which they hate to hear because Nigeria being one nation is their only means of survival as a people.

So if truly Yorubas want Igbos to vacate their region with immediate effect despite the huge Igbo investments in Southwest, just join Igbo efforts for Nigeria to divide.

Once Nigeria divides, Yoruba nation can make their own new nations constitution banning their consulates from issuing visa to people from Southeast or Biafra or whatever country it maybe called.

That's the only way to achieve it.

But you cannot take resources from crude oil and natural gas explored in Imo, Abia, Enugu, Anambra, etc and share it with 36 states of Nigeria, giving lion share to Lagos, Kano in the name of population which also include Igbo people that contributed to the high population and economy activities that made Lagos a commercial center it is today, and then you foolishly turn around to say Igbos should go back to their region, are you not mad like that?

If at all you are educated and enlightened, you ought to know this.

I feel your pain just know your ranting here can't stop our progress, Anambra now has Cargo and Passenger Airport, now Onitsha port it didn't come over night, its a process, to build a mega industrialize and leisure smart city state has begun the major facilities will accelerate our quest, we are fourth largest economy in Nigeria without these, imagine Anambra with these key facilities and one of Africa finest just elected as governor elect, all I can say with your bitter and jealous mind, more good news coming from this great state will shorten your lifespan, I will make sure I contribute to that here on nairaland grin grin
You didnot get what he meant and you call that jealousy wow!,why should he be jealous of your people ?you are so emotional and emotional people are the ones that act that way.

I have come to realize that one thing Yorubas hate to hear is Igbo region progress. Whenever they hear of a good development in Igbo land they cringe in their mind and the dead ones cringe in their Graves, why so much hatred?

Igbos contributed highest to the development of Southwest and still contributing with joy but Yorubas will never contribute to Southeast yet they develop anger when they hear Igbo progress, it's really sad.

I as an Igbo man, I own lands in Lagos, Ibadan, Abuja, Asaba, Onitsha, Owerri, PH. I don't live in all these cities, I just invest wherever I have friends or allies, but a typical Yoruba man will never invest in Southeast, ask his reason nothing.

In facts typical Yoruba man only invest in Lagos, he or she hardly remember his home state outside Lagos. Yet they hate and condemn Igbos who have liberal mind to contribute to development of all regions of Nigeria without prejudice.

Anyway, nature has been the defender and comforter and rewarder of the Igbos cos nature knows that Igbos have clear and liberal mind unlike your people that have tiny narrow mind yet they claim to be educated and enlightened.

What's the noise all about?

When the largest vessel berthed at Onne port, y'all said Lagos port would run dry but today, nothing has changed. With the new Anambra airport, has it reduced the traffic in MMA, Abuja, & Kano?

What pisses one off about you guys is your noisy attitude towards the simplest of things.
If you're not making noise about a Governor inspecting malls, it is about a stadium in Akwa. Meanwhile there is an ongoing construction of a 6,000 capacity stadium by a privately owned club in Remo
with standard facilities yet no one is disturbing our peace about it. Everything no be noise.

Yes, allow them to make noise. Is it ur noise? Their noise doesn't stop ur shine, so why worry?
They are people who lost a war and had to start from afresh without any support. Today, look at them. So, u can understand why they celebrate their little wins.

Unlike these other regions that u mentioned that have had massive govt support and funding over the decades, the Igbos have lacked that and have been able to build massive human capital resources. Allow them to make their noise, sir.

Their tiny, narrow brain will never comprehend this.

Okay allow Nigeria to divide so that this noise makers can go their way and continue their noisy life in their new country, you said no, you will fight and kill if they dare go, that you want them to remain with you so you can continue to use their talent and resources to shine while forming the most developed region.

If you are confident of your people and your potentials to achieve greatness, then support division of Nigeria so every region can go test their strengths and see how far. Will they agree? No! They need Igbos in Nigeria to shine and survive yet won't acknowledge Igbo greatness and importance in their livelihood. Witches and wizards cheesy

When Anambra airport was being commissioned, deluded folks like you said Lagos airport would go dry, so, I ask you how has Lagos airport being affected now?. You forgot that there is an International airport in Enugu, there's also a airport in Imo, yet those ghost airports could not pull a strand of hair off Lagos, Abuja and Kano Airports.

Talking about Onne seaport, how many vessels have berthed at the terminal since it was dredged and open up?. From the development, Maersk directed their vessels to be routed through Onne port, while the news tickles your fantasies, you were all gloating about ibos abandoning Lagos port. We wonder what is stopping ibos from patronizing their dearest Onne port where activities remain skeletal.

Innoson is a private enterprise seeking public patronage just as any private business man would but ibos are busy crying on our shoulders to accept innoson as a national brand. The entitlement mentality that seeks to compel Federal Government to buy Innoson as a gesture of making ibos feel they are part of Nigeria. What a disgusting mentality.
Proforce like Innoson is a privately owned car manufacturing company yet Proforce is rapidly divesting and expanding across West Africa region. He has established his manufacturing plants in Kuwait, UAE, etc. He did all that without making noise or Yoruba crying in the media for Government to patronize him. Now that Dangote has opened his car factory, we are waiting to witness another cry of marginalization from you guys. The earlier ibos realize that we owe you nothing, the better for all of you. Stop disturbing our peace. We have over 250 ethnic groups in this country.

-Osu amaka
I wonder why most of you from the waste are always filled with hate, bitterness and insecurity. Gosh, it's so disgusting!

Someone posted news about his state, he didn't mention anything about yoruba yet you jumped in from nowhere to start showing your insecurity?!

To think you even dragged Kano into your stupidity? If only you have sense, you should have known that no airport in Nigeria can overtake Lagos and Abuja because most air traffic emanates from those cities for obvious reasons.

Nigerians don't seem to understand how hateful and bigot most of you from that side is, what is your problem with Onne port? Is it not wickedness and selfishness when you guys only want everything to be in your region? FYI, Onne you're saying trash about is the second busiest seaport in Nigeria!

If not for the hate and bitterness in you guys, I don't see why you all from the waste will be wishing evil for Innoson. All the states in the SE, most states in the SS and some states in the North have all patronized Innoson but non from your governors! Has it stopped Innoson from being the most successful indigenous car marker from Africa? No! They keep waxing strong!

You're talking about a roadside welding workshop called proforce? Lol, what about the other afonja company you all ranted everywhere as going to displace Innoson? Out of hate, you guys were all over the place hyping a showroom as a car maker. Where are they today? Totally forgotten!

It is the same selfish and wicked mentality of trying to corner everything that is making you people to ask Northerners not to contest election in 2023 while you contest. So that by 2031, you would have ruled for 24 years while regions like NE and SE haven't ruled.

These same treacherous two-faced people will preach Southern unity today, tomorrow they advocate SW and NW alliance. All because they only consider themselves.

Rubbish!!!

You think you can deceive North or fool Igbos?
