olas24u: Why do you want to be honoured where you have no impact? Or you want me to name my street Ola when you have no single property there or value to the community? For you to see many streets named after an Igbo person in different states of Nigeria ought to tell you something if you are wise enough. |

WhatCanIsay: The major reason most Igbo businessmen are not investing in Southeast is because doing business is more difficult in the area than any other region, the Managing Director of FIT Consult Ltd, Chief Loretta Aniagolu, has said. Aniagolu, who addressed architects from the Enugu State chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Architects and student architects from tertiary institutions in Enugu, who were on an education tour of HELIU Estate in Enugu town, said investing in such businesses as real estates and large scale industries attracted hiccups. She said a combination of state governments’ insensitive financial charges and communities’ constant disturbances and demands discouraged investors. Aniagolu, however, admitted that Enugu State and Southeast had the highest return on investments, with the highest rate appreciation rate of property in the country. She said: “Nobody knows why it’s like that, but I think it has to do with the sentiments of the Igbo in owning property in Enugu. - “So you find out that the minimum appreciation rate of property in Enugu is 100 per cent annually. “For instance, these bungalows – when we built them , we sold them for N8.5milliom for three bedrooms. But today, people are selling them for N20million. I can’t even believe it, but that’s the reality and it’s shocking because the houses were just sold in 2019. So that tells you something about the appreciation rate in this place. Not even Lagos has this kind of high appreciation rate. |

Is Ondo state still producing oil, pls go and check how many barrels Ondo is producing, Anambra basin hasn't even been explored. And there's excess gas in the SE, infact shell once drilled for oil in Anambra, they discovered gas and abandoned the well at Igbariam. the gas reserve is just there, the oil exploration never even start. If there's oil in economic quantity why don't you go and drill at epe and bring the reault. See your yeye point, where are they growing the rice for the mill? You think the farms are in lagos. The refinary belongs to dangote who's from Kano And containers coming to lekki deep sea port will still move to Onitsha, there are for gas pipeline from this parts of the country to the west and the Igbos own two of them tollyboy5: |

olas24u: Have you personally wanted to buy and nobody sold to you? There's a big private school in Enugu owned by a Yoruba man, what happened? Did he steal it? There's a farm in Awka owned by Yoruba man, did he steal it or was it dashed to him? I hate having this sort of discussion with people that are steeped in their bigotry! |

The land of the rising sun is shining. This is good news for Ala Igbo. As an Abịa Indigene I am happy that the first born of ndị Igbo Anambra is getting it right. When Anambra gets it right, the whole Igbo nation gets it right. Like Mazi Nnamdi Kanu would say, anagha emetaya na anya ukwu. Who God has blessed, no man can curse. God has blessed Anambra to be the first born. Igbo Amaka. 2 Likes |

WhatCanIsay: the reason why you leave your places for other places is because of lack of space and lack of land ,they reason why you fight over land is because their are not enough lands ,you dont make policies that are investor friendly ,the crime rate is very high ,you are land locked and you have bad and occultic government setup. |

olas24u: Sorry to boldly say this to you, " you lack wisdom and understanding." If this is where you anchor your argument on then I'm sorry to say, discussing with you is not worth it. Read to understand. This interview tells you that property is a hot cake in the SE despite the hitches involved in acquiring them. Those hitches are the same you find in most developed states. But the difference is that the rate at which property appreciates in the SE is astounding... This is gotten from the interview you quoted as the bedrock of your unhinged argument. 1 Like |

That's not it at all, SE has the highest population density. The infrastructures are heavily utilized, you can't compare a road that has has 20 vehicles per mile with a road that has 500 vehicles per mile. olas24u: |

Our new refinery is based on exporting not importing. Who cares about onisha patronage lol. We don't need to farm rice. We can buy rice if it pleases us and refine it, still sell to those who farmed it lol. Lagos is not a state that works on natural resource . Unlike others |

In fact people are no more living in that zone, all have relocated to SW presumably. Thanks for revealing such to the Igbo people St.Ola from the saintly kingdom. VAT has nothing to do with development, and besides these are figures we all know are manipulated in this country. Business do better in Abia than Oyo, and Aba gets more visitors looking to do business. Lagos Ibadan train was free and only recorded 6 passengers. Lagos has a population greater than 14million ppl and they didn't even want free ride to Ibadan. The only reason ppl go to Oyo is UI tollyboy5: 2 Likes |

I'm from Rivers State by the way, I'm also from Anambra. When you say all of you you're referring to the entire old eastern region and by the way Imo state and Abia states are Niger Delta. But that's a topic for another day. Please which SW governor is performing better than David Umahi and Willie Obiano. And Don't mention Lagos, Lagos is already a world class city olas24u: |
