1. Apply for provisional licence https://www.gov.uk/apply-first-provisional-driving-licence (you must have lived legally in the uk for atleast 185days)

2. Buy, download and practice the questions in the Official DVSA Theory Test Kit for £4.99 from AppStore. There are other free versions but I recommend the paid one https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/official-dvsa-theory-test-kit/id463295925

3. Book the theory test for car and motorcycle, costs £23 https://www.gov.uk/book-theory-test you need to get 43 out of 50 questions correctly to pass

4. Book the driving practical test for £75 at https://www.gov.uk/book-driving-test

Prior to this, you shld have had atleast 40-45 hours of driving lessons as a new driver or just couple of lessons to brush up ur skills if you have been driving from abroad.

NB: A manual licence lets you drive automatic cars but automatic licence doesn’t let you drive manual.

5. Congratulations you have passed your driving and your provisional licence would be exchanged for a FULL UK license.

Jara: Next step is to search for suitable insurance policy here confused.com

Hello guys,
My electricity provider is British gas. When I log into my account on a daily basis, I see an increment of £5.5 in my bill. I contacted them and they said that's what I use daily.
They said I am already on their lowest tariff which is Standard Variable tariff that I am free to change tariff if I want. Now my average monthly electricity bill is £170. I use one heater (always on because I work from home), no gas in my apartment. Is this on the high side or it's ok considering we are in winter?

Note: they said they use my meter reading but they sill bill me 5.5 daily. How come it is constant.

Good day all
Abeg no vex for my question but I try to do research before I come here and ask

Trying to get NIN for my 5 year old for passport renewal. Still waiting for their Aberdeen office to call us to come do it.
Can I go ahead with the online application and pay without the NIN?
But wait for the NIN before going to London for biometrics

You’ll need to have the NIN to apply for passport online. How come you’re waiting to be called for NIN? Over here in North West i just picked an available date on the website, made payment and went in for my son’s registration, NIN was sent to my mail the next day.

Go with AWS cloud practitioner. Although I did Qzure first, AWS opened the door more than Azure.

To me AWS is very easier to understand however, Azure is getting more foothold cos of the seamless integration with active directory. So, you have to learn the 2 wink

Hello elders Trust your day is good, finally settling in nicely after almost 40 days in. It was stressful finding an apartment but finally got a good one (even tho the agent is a rude ass), thanks to all the advise from this platform . One issue that came up this last few days is house fly, I did a Google search and I read its normal when transitioning to spring or summer. I'm worried cos these flies are bigger than the ones i see in Lagos plus it seems they leave a red pigment, like blood when I kill them. Should I call up the agent in charge ASAP and complain or its a seasonal thing... thanks once again

There's no regulation that states that these must be provided as well. Its up to you to keep searching till you get a house that meets your requirements.

Yeah?

What govt. has mandated house owners to provide is fire/smoke detector/alarm and that the house should be habitable and free from health risk.

Not true. Careful with them. I will advice you follow them with same eyes you would follow a Nigerian agent. Of lately there is not much of a difference between Nigerian (Lagos) agent and this agents over here.

Yeah?

Right, but saying it confidently that they don't provide white goods in Scotland is wrong and misleading information.

Just thinking out loud... It will surely pass MOT. It's a brand new Rav 4 2018 model.

I am sure getting this same may cost me like £45000 if not more for brand new. Just needed to be sure.

No problem. Won't sell though. angry

I was like you. I didn’t want to sell. If you pack, it depreciates. Then when we finally gave someone to drive, they bashed it to a stupor :'. Sell and keep the money.
