Have you guys seen the Silas Nwankwo gist? Apparently, his current club came across a picture of him from 2015 when he played for the ESUT football team. Clearly, this is not an 18-year old, like anyone else would have pointed out Since I came across that news, the only person that keeps coming to mind is that guy that came here to ask for help on joining the U-17 team despite being overaged. While I understand that things are very difficult for the average Nigerian, especially as regards placement in sports, I will always insist on time. There are truly some dreams that time will steal, and people have to be ready to accept that. |

Danielnino00:18 was far too low At best, he could have done 25. I don't know who advised these grown men with bass voices to cut their ages that low, and it is also another indictment on the Immigration officers, because what documents do they accept as proof of age when assigning passports? I'm really curious, about how people like this pass off these ages. There comes a time when Affidavits should not be sufficient. How does an 18-year old not have a birth certificate we can access? Someone allegedly born in 2003? Our record keeping is so poor in Nigeria, because ideally, these things ought to be in an accessible database. The moment you're born, there should be a record of it in the National Population Commission Database, so, that even if you lose your birth certificate in a fire, all they may require is your name and state of birth to access your full details |

safarigirl:When the gist dropped here, I had wanted to call Andrew our in-house MRI agecatcher, but when someone says he is 25, I hold my peace, cos he might be, some people had that features that makes them looks older than their age, while for other like me, same features makes us look younger than our ages, it's just the way it is |

do4luv14:Apologies for the derailment. Lol. You talk like the Nigerian government even has funds. Presently, Nigeria is broke. Any major project we undertake, we lend money. Aliko Dangote is a major domestic lender. He spent 8 billion dollars of his wealth in construction of the refinery. Let's look beyond tribalism. He's the only one with funds to construct a refinery of that scale. Mind you, his refinery is the largest in the world. It's not his fault for doing this, blame your government that didn't maintain her refineries since independence. The Port Harcourt, warri and kaduna refineries could have provided jobs to alot of citizens, but your government let it rot away. Nevertheless, the Nigerian government through the NNPC are buying over 40% of Dangote refinery. On the port Harcourt soot matter, it's due to illegal refining of crude, bunkering and gas flaring. It could be solved but like other sectors of the Nigerian economy, their are traitors involved across all walks of Nigerian life. The Nigerian government gave over a 100 legal oil refining licenses to different individuals but less than 5% of those individuals are performing or active. |
