Mendy don win AFCON

We have started our campaign

Congratulations to Senegal for their first AFCON

Congratulations to Mendy and Mane

Thank God I will not have to watch any Salah wankfest this period. The entire thing was really tiring

Congratulations to Liverpool as well.

West African Domination. We're back. No way some North African country was going to win on this side of the continent.

Adeleye, Okoye, Uzoho, Okwonkwo, Ejimadu,Osigwe etc

Let's take a close look at them as well as the top keepers in the domestic league.
Goalkeepers can make a huge difference.

Select all of the top-quality ones. Bring them to camp. Thoroughly screen and select the best three.

Please, someone should kick out Alloy Agu from that coaching crew.

Wow just wow, Senegal broke the Afcon curse

So happy for Senegal and Mane.

After many heartbreaks.

Appearing in back to back finals shows a level of consistency. I hope they qualify and try to equal the record of El-Hadji Diouf's set at the world cup.

Before some people will come up with some conspiracy theories about the FIFA ranking, let it be remembered that Egypt only recorded two wins at the AFCON! Their knockout stage wins won't count because it ended in a draw in regulation time... It's unlikely they overtake us in the ranking...

This AFCON so far is a better organized 24teams AFCON in all ramifications

Yes, I agree on the that but Cameroon can't host the world cup. Compare their stadiums to Qatar's. It's not just it

My heart goes to Carlos Queiroz. For a coach born in Africa, it would have been nice for him to win it. However, with the talk celebrating poor performances, they had to lose.

At least, ElNeny will chill.

Thank goodness Senegal won.

I would have hate it if Egypt had suceeded in shithousing their way to an AFCON win. That useless team did not improve since Match day 1, they just got lucky with a better goalkeeper after their first choice got injured.

Criteria for stadiums, hotels, transit, and communications and electrical grids. Infact meeting the criteria for each is necessary for even bidding or at least proof of commitment.

SA spent $4bn on WC preps in 2010. Does Cameroon have that money (it would be more now)

They were very poor in this tourney. Egypt was just another Tunisia in this tourney with more luck.

Very poor team. Even Greece that won EUro I. 2004 as an underdog wasn't even this poor.

Looking at all the stadium that hosted AFCON matches, I think they are all top notch, they may not be up to Qatari standard..
Olembe
Garoua
Japoma...I can't remember all their names, but I think they are all good stadium to host world cup games

Egypt would have been out in the round of 16 if they had a Maduka Okoye in goal..

Come March,if they keep up this style of play, Senegal will beat them to the world cup ticket...

How can you score just 2 goals from open play throughout the tournament and win? The Egyptians are setting a bad precedent with this boring ass method!
It would have been awful if they had won. A crown on the head of ugly football

There's also Noah Atubolu at Freiburg, he's a decent prospect as well

Like a lot of us said, they just got lucky. With the type of performance they had in this AFCON, the highest they should have gotten was R of 16. But we all know that Life is not always fair.

I have seen Manchester City lose to mediocre side that average coaches will defeat. We will dominate the game create chances but the goals will not come.

Does that mean Guardiola has no brain?
Maybe

It isn't just by stadiums o.. They need world class infrastructures!. We are talking about five star hotels in every host cities, convenient mode of transportation, security, and not to mention plenty of money..
A world cup is like a festival... It goes beyond just playing in the stadium..
South Africa experienced a lot of upgrades in it's infrastructure when they hosted the last world cup..

You ask if a whole Cameroon has such money to spend, why won't they have?
SA didn't jus provide the $4bn in a day na, it took them years to prepare for 2010 WC..
