I respect the Egyptian team, they were not good enough so they decided to be conservative. The not- too- good team that stopped ivory coast, Cameroon and Senegal from scoring under 120 minutes. They are poor but tactically rich. |

Meliforme: What matters is not me or you understanding the system. With time, we will know more. I still need to watch more games to breakdown the system. What matters is that it works and he created chances for us to win the game. |

Beloved03:Zaidu will, Aribo will, Nacho will. Aina maybe. Las las it's almost equal. They beat us CBs, we beat them full backs. They beat us wingers, we beat them midfield. We beat them CFs, they beat us GK. |

zuchyblink:I agree cos they have at least one world class player in every department! Nonetheless, with the right tactics, Nigeria can also go further than the quarters. |

Mujtahida:Their tactic is piss poor. All they did was play defensive, hope for some world class saves from their good GK, hope for a very lucky goal out of no where, if that doesn't work they will just hang in there and insha Allah their way to the PKs where anything goes. And if the average north african scores first, they close up the game and execute their tactics e.g. flopping all over the place... These defend and play for penalty tactics will not work for good teams who know how to bury the half-chance. That's why i said the Tunisians were shiitty and if Egu knew what he was doing he would have beaten them... |

Astrid4: Yes. How can a shot or goal attempts not be a chance? Who are you? There is a clear difference between a chance and why the other is termed a BIG CHANCE. Ndidi's shot was a chance to score. It was not a big chance because it was not clear. Meaning there is a chance to miss and a chance to score. Simon Moses and Sadiq's chances were big because they were through on goal. Now you that knows, explain. |

TFLASHOGEE:Bro you can't just predict them kissing WC goodbye, if the pass to sallah and inshallah could sail them through to the final against top teams like Cameroon, CIV, Morocco then it can also take them to the WC....infact na those kind football they sweet for a 2-legged home and away format....na same tactics them use beat us comot for AFCON 2017....pass to sallah and our AFCON dream of 2017 was shattered |

TheGoodJoe:They are chances but am saying we didn't create those 13 chances from open play, they came from setpiece, freekick and corner kick |

Astrid4:Who said open play. You are just trying to jump up and down. The point is simple. We had more chances by a magnitude. So you can not blame tactics. Point made. Finito. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Astrid4(m): 7:48am On Feb 07, 2022 |
TheGoodJoe:Baba ya saying rubbish, we had more half chances bruh they create 7 chances with 3 shot on target, with 2 blocked shot and we create 13 chances with 1 shot on target, and 10 off target, we created more yea that's true but they created better chances. Of what use is the chances you're creating and you're not efficient with it and at the end of the day you only had one shot on target, and your opponent created 7 with 3 shot on Target, it not just about creating chances it about creating better chances.

Astrid4:You are just ranting now by jumping to shot on target. Shot on target has more to do with the players than tactics. As Sadiq had a clear chance and missed the target, will you now blame the Coach? Finito. |

Honestly, I am evaluating the quality of the Nigeria and Ghanaian squad and we’re obviously superior (1 v 1) whoever we hire must be terminated on the spot if we don’t qualify ahead of this present Ghanaian team. During the golden generation of Essien era, their squad was much superior to ours and they rightfully defeated us at important games. Now, it’s our turn to revenge. On paper, our team is much stronger but in football, anyone can win |

13large: "Even though we were in the second division we were the first German team to play 4-4-2 without a libero,” he said. “We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of [Arrigo] Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. “We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics.”...Jurgen Klopp. I think football has more to do than Superior players, if not, Manchester City would not draw with Southampton recently. Let us hope things work out well, our tactics are spot on, and our players are efficient. |

Football playing styles are Tiki taka(this happens when technically sound ball playing and joggling personnel are abundant in a team) 2. Ghen Ghen pressing (this happens when a team has energetic speedster from wing, midfield and strike position to keep opponent on a running spree for the entire duration of a game) 3. Park the bus and hit on counter (this happens when a team has conservative personnel who cannot confidently do number 1 football style) boring though but can sometimes largely be interesting and result centred. So anyone a team picks and it works for them, good luck to them! The one wey work for you na em you go use |

TheGoodJoe:Yes, it does that’s why I clearly emphasize that if we don’t qualify ahead of this present Ghanaian, our coach shouldn’t be retained. We can only be defeated if their coach tactics, formation supersede our own |

TheGoodJoe:You have been singing about the SE creating 13 chances when in reality we had just 1 shot on target. How can you call 12 shots off target as creating chances? We lost bro! Nobody gets points for 'not being outplayed' or 'chances created'.. The earlier you realize we lost to the Tunisians due to Eguavoen's tactics, the better for you. Honestly there is no two ways about this, Egavoen oversaw one of the greatest failure of SE in my lifetime. |
