I am 55% certain she had not gone to the park yet as at when I told her something came up. We talked on video till after 3pm and as at then she was at the market.
She told me it's when she closes for the day that she would go to the park. If she had intentions of going to the park at that moment, she would have just told me while we were on video call that she would be on her way to the park any moment now.

According to her, she spent over 2 hours in traffic but the time between when we talked on video and the time I told her I was no longer interested was just over 1 hour
initially said she spent 3hrs in traffic.
You now changed it to 2hrs.

Lots of people shouting scam. If you see scam, can you talk? He's not even as bad as was being painted. Yes, communication coulda been better.

Being evil and/or not communicating effectively is different from scamming.

Did you block her though? Yes or no?

What did I make her loose please?

The items were not waybilled, the items are still with her.

I agree I fvcked up as I am yet to buy and I wasted her time and also stressed her out, but that was never my intention. If u read through everything I posted u would see my intention towards how it all went down.

This is very different from ur case

Why did you block her? Just answer that simple question you have been avoiding.

That you took out time to open a thread is enough to give your side of the story is enough, you shouldn't go about explaining yourself to every Tom Dick and Harry, most of them are only speaking from the woman wrapper department of their brain, should this story have been reversed in gender, the fulls sittings as judge over your explanation, will blame you also for not calling the buyer before going to send the items...

Even if you don't have the intention of buying from her again, it's all good... Businesses don't always go as planned and you didn't scam her...

The girl had already cut the product into the desired shape the buyer wants and he can't say he won't buy. Its not fair. Don't be sentimental.

In her story, he kept saying she should snap and send the products, why didn't she snap and send She was able to quote what he wanted, but she couldn't snaap and send what she had.

She isn't completely open with the truth, that truth she isn't completely open about is what made the buyer to block her...

Your story here get K leg, you said the seller told u not to send money that she will be at the park first before you send money but on the contrary you're the one that said it. You're the one that said you must be sure of what you're buying before you pay

What happened here is a pure CA's of miscommunication. The seller said he blocked her after the apology he tenders but I've not seen where the guy gave reasons for blocking her.

Let's not do business with sentiments. If an item needs to be customized, you need to let the customer know that the specific measurement he or she needs is a custom measurement and needs to be, at least, partially paid for before it can be cut out.

Don't let's use the urge of selling market put ourselves in an uncomfortable situation.

Even when ordering things online you have a grace period for you to cancel your order. It happens in business. I've had similar experience and it made me learn more.

If you think I'm heartless for this reply, no vex. But reason am and you'll see its the fact. Don't let people put you in a tight conner in business.

Before I forget sef, but the lady said OK when the guy apologized without any complain only to come online to drag him later.

shocked shocked shocked cool

All is risky, what if you pay and they don't deliver??
The buyer can't be trusted the seller also cannot be trusted.

It is for the buyer to do his/her due deligence. If you can't afford to pay before delivery, you can send someone to go pick up on your behalf. Vendors cab mandate the pay on delivery service, infact it isn't wrong for a vendor to do that . It is all all left to Buyers to buy or not or buy with one mind.

you will observe from the seller ends, the guy insisted on packaging all items and take a picture with it at the pack before sending money which she did not to jeopardize the deal...Everything has second hand value abroad, because it will be neatly used and repackaged like new one, but here in Nigeria, reverse is the case

Second hand value after customer has smashed/ dented/scratched your luxury item? Don't even get me started with the friendly fraud where they return something that is inferior to what you sold them grin grin grin. Imagine if just 25% of your customers did this, omo na to pack up remain. In this particular case, seller should do risk analysis, was that one sale worth the level of stress? Worth the risk? We all take risks in life and we must live with the rewards and/or consequences, the risk tolerance for someone that sells 15-30 items per day might not be the same for someone that is lucky to sell 2-3 per day so make each seller do what's right for his or her business.

It just happened to me now now... am just going back to my house ... people are crazy asin crazy... you can't part ways with your money and they dont mind making you waste your money

Bro you didn't try at all. You knew you were not ready why place the order? You were expecting money you are not sure of and you are already ordering things yet you are still defending yourself do you know the trauma of near success syndrome, a deal already closed and you are backing out on the last minute, you think it's just about she didn't spend money on waybill or stuff, you simply don't have money and you are hanging your coat above you, if you had any sense, courtesy demands "ah I'm sorry things came, please take this amount for the trouble, we call you when I'm ready' simple.

It's the consumer laws/ system of fraud. For example, Amazon will automatically refund them once they ship the item, Ebay insists on full refund unless you pay for the return shipping and then be willing to go through a lengthy process of dispute. These are not even the worst scenario, all the buyer has to do is contact their bank and state that the item was a fraudulent purchase or defective and gbam.....They get their full refund plus you are charged a chargeback fee, of course all these headaches are for online selling, physical selling is not as dangerous.

Omo make I no talk too much, 9ja we still dey enjoy, over here consumer protection is so strong, all you can do as a seller is hope for the best. When I first started with one business, I don spend the thousands of dollars that I earned from selling only to discover after 2 months hree buyers are claiming unauthorized purchase and their banks already ruled in their favor......I wan mental grin grin grin

My only prayer for you is to miss a blessing at the very last minute. That's something is normal in business doesn't mean you should do it to your fellow human for any reason. If you want to cancel an order, at least inform the seller 24hrs before delivery if you have conscience. Someone has invested her time and resources to get something done and you think it's fine and beautiful to call it off at the last minute and block her afterwards. Why order for something when you don't have the funds readily available for it? God will repay you, the op and everyone that think it's okay to wicked with their own dose of wickedness.

Pls cut the gentleman some slacks. He had the time to come out and explain his end of the deal, albeit taking responsibility for his misdeeds. I think that's fair enough. We all have our ups and downs, but we don't bring it here to garner up pity and tarnish another man's image. How many successful deals has she closed that she came here to celebrate? It shows a level of business understanding she's on. In business, there are some training fields you have to cross, that you weren't taught of in business school. How you maneuver it depends on your level of risk judgement and assessment. Its not as if he got the goods without paying. The experience should help her shape her business acumen and strategy, instead if coming here to cry over spilt milk. If you're running a business and expect smooth sailing without hitches, you'll never grow, and you'll never know . wink
Sir this has been settled but honestly if he didn't block me I wouldn't have bring it here I swear. It is not by force he buy from me. He can even get a better deal somewhere and I can't tell him he must buy from me. I would have appreciate it if he call to explain things to me and honestly I will understand. But sending me message and blocking me makes me look like a fool. And I swear I was already in peace mass Park
