Hello guys, I just booked an appointment for October 2022; October is the earliest date I could lay my hands on. My start date is sometime in May 2022, and I want to know if it is possible to book an Emergency Appointment more than 60 days before my start date. Do I have to wait till March 2022 (approximately 60 days to my start date in May 2022) before I can apply for an Emergency Appointment... OR ... Should I go ahead and apply for the EA right away? |

Good morning comrades. Please I need help with my ds-160. I got a new job this January which is in line with my course of study, but I've held a previous job for close to five years now which I'm still into(it's a self-employed kind) and it's not in any way related to what I'll be studying in my master. My question is this, should I fill in both jobs or should I scratch the one that's not related to what I'll be studying? Thank you as you read and respond. |

Redfang:even though it's a new job, I still feel it's better to use the job related to your program, besides that best describes your current circumstances so fill out everything on your DS form in that order starting from the old job to the current job |

vireks:Do you contact a supervisor before getting the full funding. How do you get the professor you are discussing about his work, is it after getting admission or before getting admission. |

Yasiin:The 60days EA application rule is the rule. Just wait! If you apply for EA before then, you would easily get an EA denial message after few mind of the EA application, e no hard them to send denial message. So calm down and wait!!! Good luck |

Edit the below format to your profile. Good luck! Omotola222:Dear Consular, My name is ____________ I am an F-1 visa applicant with a current appointment date of _______. I was accepted into the fall 2022 academic program. The start date on my I-20 is January 10 2022. However, I will need to be in school earlier before then as there will be an orientation programme for graduate students by January 06 2022 I request an earlier appointment date that would allow me to resume my academic program in the United States on time. Kindly find my Form I-20, admission letter, Sevis ID and evidence of SEVIS fee payment attached. Thanks Regards. |

Yasiin:EA is better 60 days before your school resumes. Not many schools resume in May so there is no rush for dates. Just calm down and follow the rules. Do not mess your application up. You can only apply for EA on a CGI account I think maximum of 2 times |

excel1960:Which school is that and when did you apply? You will have to wait at times this might take forever but nothing can be done but trust me, your documents are being evaluated by the school before a decision is made on your application…they will surely contact you |

Can someone who holds an MBA here, go for a second MBA or MSc in the US? Will disclosing such affect the school application and visa success? Or should the person just apply with her UG course? Her proposed program is in line with her current employment and MBA, while her UG is in a different field. Thank you. |

excel1960:Patience, patience and patience. Whatever decision the school makes, they’d email you in due time. Also, it’s safe you apply to more than one school just so you do not put all of your eggs in one basket. If two(2) schools reject your application, maybe one(1) would accept you. Cheers! |
