At the end of the day, keshi won an ANC and qualified us for the R16 on his first attempt and posterity will remember him for such. If our present coach can match or exceed such result by receiving bribes or fielding backwater league players, I will accept

You guys are fond of the same thing. Using the same ideology for all coaches. Keshi had a style. He plays long balls to huge, strong forwards. That was why Ideye and Emenike worked for him. Sometimes, he likes his forwards drifting wide.

That was why we had someone like Bright Dike, Aaron Samuel, Shola Ameobi making the squad. That was one thing that hampered having loads.

So, Imoh Ezekiel will score hundreds goals but Uchebo had the height and strength to suit Keshi's system.
Stop arguing with them because they will not understand. Sometimes being good enough is not enough, some factors are considered like commitment. Keshi chose players that were ready to lay down their lives on the pitch which some players are ready to do

keshi instigated the fight to paint the players black and tag them unpatriotic just to bring in his junks from the local league which he succeeded in doing

no one is disputing that fact but his atrocities which backfired on him denied us to mk the afcon back to back

Those junks he paraded from the local scene who claim to be in their mid and early twenties then where are they today?

Thank you. That was Keshi's biggest strength. Players that will run through the wall for him. No matter how big the team was, they were ready to die on the field.

the same ameobi we have been begging since 2000 when he broke into Newcastle’s first team but never considered us good enough for him na wey keshi smuggled in when em done wash cheesy

I remember a young heereveen center back then Kenneth otigba who was born and raised in Hungary begging then to have a chance to atleast train with the team during keshi’s time but he got no chance. He even went to the extend of refusing invitations from the Hungarian FA then just to fulfill his dream of playing for us but keshi never invited him for a kick about with the team let alone friendly games

Washed and finished Ameobi

Did you see instigation? Those big players had poor attitude. That was it. Keshi could see through them.

So as much as you praise their stats, their loyalty indices were low and they had to go.

Mr. Shift, Mr. Nepotism, Mr. Sentiments. After all the names, you do not know what goes on behind the scenes. Do you know the players behind the mutiny? There are things that stats do not show.

If you like be world best. If you are not loyal to the coach, you are useless to him.
can’t take this headline serious because Okpala rushed to some ojuelegba blogs to say that, Taiwo said this 4 days earlier

That was why Okpala exposed Taiwo that he was lying and was removed for Mutiny. Taiwo never knew that Keshi got wind of what he was planning. And saw him and his cohorts out of the team.

Okpala had to make it public for Taiwo to know that Keshi heard of his plans and that was why he was dropped. Not dirty deals.

Taiwo felt he was too big for Keshi to play Echiejile ahead of him. Because of that, he decided to rally with the players to make Keshi fail.

No coach will take such a player. Unfortunately, Keshi kept the names of the players secret. He just saw them off with style.

However, Sylvanus made it public recently because of Taiwo trying to change the story.
Oga pls let's talk about our WC qualifier match against Ghana....Stephen Okechucwu Keshi is late and he will be remembered for winning Afcon as a player and as a coach, reaching WC second round, first to captain Super eagles to WC,longest serving captain 1984-1994....a player that was banned from national team and NPFL by Anthony Ikhazobo for playing for New Nigeria bank in Wafu cup final but couldn't make it to camp on a deadline date.He ran away to Ivory coast and was signed by stade of Abidjan when he thought he had no hope.He move to Belgian league from Ivory coast to sign for Lokeren and moved to giant Anderlecht after a season. The first Nigerian to play in any major European cup final, against Sampdoria....Stephen Keshi didn't for once criticized NFA for his expelled from football in Nigeria. He made it possible for the likes of Austin Eguavoen,Samson Siasia,Ademola Adeshina,Osaro Obabaifo,Andrew Uwe and many more to come to Belgium for Pro career....The highest Super eagles defender with goals till date.

He has done well no matter how some would like to paint him bad....till today no Nigeria player ex or active love Nigeria Super eagles than Stephen Okechucwu Keshi.

I challenge anyone to come out where Stephen Okechucwu Keshi was indicted for bribery.

RIP the Big boss.

This thing reminds me of my friend's younger brother. The boy was so good. Brilliant creative midfielder and scores wonder goals.

First thing about this boy is his dada hair. Long and bushy. If you see him bounce on the road, you will think Messi polishes his boot every morning.

After a while, his coach dropped him from the team and the brother was mad.

None of the players could lace his brother's shoes. The brother was head and shoulders above them in talent. The elder brother went to the coach to confront him.

The coach explained.

Look around you. These boys working in my house are his team mates. They cut grass, fetch water, go to the market and even help me sell some of my business goods.

On the field, they listen to every word I say. They come very early to the pitch before me, and clean up after I leave.

Your brother has refused to cut his dada grin. I said cut dada and he said he will not cut dada. Come to training, he will say Belle is paining him. During match, pass ball, he will dribble like Messi from beginning to the end.

The coach pleaded that he was tired and that the brother can go with his MessiX2.

oga Andrew...Thegoodjoe is right on this one please. Very spot on. Every coach has a particular kind of players that suit their ideology and tactics. For Keshi, he selected players which he knew would deliver for him and he got the AFCON trophy and Round of 16 in WC.
However,I'm not disputing the fact that some local coaches are corrupt but in Keshi's case, he is justified.

there must be a reason for once a loyal party to become rebellious

Taiwo before keshi came on board was one of the most loyal and dedicated player in the national team then. He was ever present and never for once agitate nor refuse call up

Have you asked yourself why he changed over night? Abi keshi been Dey eye em wife?
Auba was Arsenal's best goalscorer..he delivered the FA cup almost singlehandedly bro...he is now at Barca simply because he fell out with the coach.

Time and attitude changes bro...there are some times you will feel like a senior player in camp and that is when ego will set in then you start disagreeing with your coach.

Master class against a second string Italian side? In a meaningless friendly game?

Sirigu, Maggio, Pasqual, Ranocchi, Ogbonna, Candreva, Montolivo, Giaccherini , Rossi etc..

And what was his contribution at the WC?

Keshi had a lot of issues during Afcon 2013 ...It took Keshi time to really understand that Daniel Amokachie was working against him...prior to Amaju Pinnick emergent as NFF president,he was one of those that criticized Keshi heavily and plotting secretly for Sunday Oliseh to coach Super eagles the moment he became NFF president.
