There are full-time bank contracts - there have been a lot in the past year and till this moment. If they need you for the full-time hours, they tell you and pay you for that. There's usually a possibility of been converted to permanent if the manager gets full-time permanent budget funding for the position but thats not always guaranteed.

Those looking at work sponsorship should focus on the Full-Time permanent position as that's what they can be sponsored on. But if in the UK, non-clinical individuals can join banks to get some NHS experience as this most often than not, gives an edge.
Prosperity4All:

Thanks for your clarification.
I agree with your submissions except for Full-time on Bank contracts, since they do not even guarantee when you would be engaged/called up.
Also for a newbie understanding, I think we should just say focus on Full-time/permanent.

Hello All

Please there's this talk of Nigeria being on the Red list and as such recruiting agencies won't be considering applications from Nigerians or countries on the Red list.

Can anyone confirm?

I think this is correct. Recruitment agencies may not consider applications from Nigeria as a result of this but this can be circumnavigated by applying directly to the companies.

Hello everyone, please for those that have done their Ecctis verification, was your transcripts sent directly to Ecctis from your school, or did you just upload a student's copy of the transcripts.... because my school does not send transcripts to unofficial email addresses or to the applicants. Please how did you go about yours?

Many congratulations!

A few questions

So in summary, before completing your Masters, you will be switching to a Skilled Visa or Healthcare visa? Can you do this in country i.e. within UK or you have to go back to your home country to apply?

What would happen to your studentship? would you be able to continue online or forfeit it? Is this allowed? Would the school allow?

Would you know if a student dependant (not main applicant) can switch to either a skilled or health care visa within UK? What does this mean for the main applicant?

Grateful for any insight you can provide.

Many thanks.

Good morning my brother please I want to ask if you also know about skilled visa for people that has interest in farm work, that is the farm worker because I’m hearing that someone can also look for big farms that will give COS to apply for skilled visa so I don’t know if there is anything like that and how to apply

Thanks

Yes there is a farm worker visa (poultry experience needed for some) but its temporary and it is (though they won't say so directly) targeted towards European countries. It is also physical work, the type we call labourer work. You also need to leave at the expiry of your visa which I think its about 6 months and family members not allowed.

You Must apply directly, this is only way allowed. Recruiters and companies even the NHS must not actively recruit from or even advertised in red list countries.

Photocopies of degree certificates (you can do BSc and Masters for same price), transcripts and letter that your course was taught in English are all you need. You will need to upload all these on the website. I don't think your schol is allowed to send though.

Thanks alot for this
Prosperity4All:

What you really need for the health care Worker Visa is the Certificate of Sponsorship and your international passport. Other things are secondary or supportive.
You need to understand that many international students currently in the UK and their dependants are also trying to change Status from a Student/Dependant visa to a Work visa.
So applying from here is very very difficult because most employers/agency don't see the need to expose them selves financial and otherwise to secure CoS for Level 1-3 job groups. But if your relatives in the UK are willing to help then they should assist you get the CoS through a Care home or Agency (this is possible, I can attest). Having a CoS basically means you already have a Job and you can then proceed to the Embassy to apply for a work visa.

These questions no few at all o.

1. We have had some people share their testimony about switching visa. So yes, it's possible to switch from study visa to skilled worker or health and care visa within the UK before you finish studies (eduted: new rules ni longer allow this).

2. One can choose to either continue studies, defer or forfeit after one receive skilled worker visa. You have a new sponsor (new rules requires finishing uni before switching; 17th July, 2023)

3. I may not be able to give the right answer but according to UKVI, dependants can switch visa.

Upload your copy no need of school sending anything to Ecctis

You can tick Full time and part time together (which is what i did). You can also tick other options as long as you know what its all about. It does not really determine anything

All they asked is to upload the student copy of the transcript and you will also include you WAEC or NECO after that you will receive an email that they will get back to you with the quotation of what you will pay. I’m still waiting to get the quotation.

I applied to Hull last year, I was given conditional offer very close to September. I knew I would not be able to go around that time so I defer till sept 22.

Now, the conditions I need to meet for them to send me an unconditional offer letter is

1. A professional or Academic referee
2. English language requirement

Now, this is where I need your professional experience to guide me house.

My response

1. I got and upload on the portal a letter of reference form work, cos I applied for a Master in Criminology and crime control and I work in a security outfit so I believe that will be fine.

2. I also uploaded my NECO result on the portal and i sent a result checking scratch card and NECO registration no to the PG admission office email address.

Since I sent it like a week ago, I have not heard from them.

I hope I am in order with all that I sent them?

And I have done all that is required.

There is hope if you ready to do the unthinkable in health care. I mean doing those stuff you find degrading and you would also earn meagre amounts and so so

What is degrading about caring for someone? Amount that can comfortably pay your bills and expenses? Okay now . This mentality that a job is degrading is why we don't pay people well in Nigeria.

It's true I think people should be informed about what goes on in health care. The challenges.

Nobody is saying care jobs are bad but people should have their mind prepared.

I did some care jobs while studying and I realize that I like caring for people but I can't take it as a full time job. I always prepare my mind whenever it's my shift so I don't get angry or surprised when a patient starts facing crises.

Just as we are encouraging people to join the industry we should tell them the real truth about the job. It's not just about watching people sleep or carrying them to go and eat.

My question is, what is degrading about it? These are people with health issues(physical and mental) or people too old to do things themselves and your job is to help as much as you can. The fact that you are not mentally equipped to deal with such situations on a daily basis does not mean others can't or shouldn't. Moreover, most people are doing it to get the 5years route to ILR, you can then switch to another career if you want to.

It's not about the ILR or taking care of people. It's about the challenges.

In Nigeria can someone younger than you slap or spit on you all because the person sick?

Ask them are you ready to receive insult, slap or scratches sometimes injury before you go home?

See no be everything be money. Tell them the truth what they are going to go through.

Some people little things like salvia and waste product or bathing someone can affect their mental state of mind. When they are not told these things they get angry.

Some supporters get frustrated and want to beat the patient or leave the job. I have seen things so it's better to prepare their mental state of mind.

Africans that will like greeting, they will be angry that the patients don't greet them or say thank you. They don't the emotional intelligence to know that these people are not okay and you are there to meet their needs. They can be happy this minute and outbrust the next minute.

They should be sure that can go through the job no matter how long they have to wait to get their ILR.
