Note that in provoked-think-strike appropriately, the appropriate thing could actually mean killing an aggressor to defend yourself..

Embiid is an Alpha dominant male both on the court/ off court, at least that is what he presents. This is the most intentional I have seen Embiid be vocal about the roster/ team and I believe he knows he is running out of time and will not tolerate anyone trying to stop him. He is injury prone and this is the longest stretch he has stayed healthy, so he wants to take advantage of it.
