Golan007:
What party is he contesting under?

Does he have national acceptability?

Would you even vote him?

Is he not the same individual you guys call Yorubakwe?

Doesn't common sense tell us you would even Vote Atiku before Igbokwe?

grin
Does he have national appeal ? Which appeal did Jonathan ,obj , yaradua have

Tickets was bought for yaradua

Would Igbos vote for him ? Not really but you don't need Igbos to make him president na ...like PDP didn't need Yoruba votes to make obj president

So what's your excuse now ?

Threat will not get them anywhere. This people need to learn how to play politics.
[/s] I had to reread the post again, to see where the threat ish comes from. You must be high on rotten ewedu to see threat in place of genuine concern.
You don't seem to understand the fears and worries of ohanaeze ndigbo who has been prevailing on undecided Igbo elites not to buy the IPOBs opinion, that they're negotiating for a better deal for ndigbo within the Nigerian space.

You don't seem to understand that the far right groups like the IPOB,massob, etc are winning already due to the glaring marginalization of Igbos in Nigeria.

This part weak me... sad

There's no rights to leadership in Nigeria, it's either you work hard for it or you fight for it. You can't be sitting there waiting for zoning...it isn't done that way.

I come in peace.
Can you meticulously tell us how to work for it, which other Igbo politicians hasn't worked

You're as thick as a brick if you can call blazingly obvious facts I've laid out for you "white lies". Why the hell, as a voter, should I pick a candidate who can't be bothered to sell himself to me, who can't be bothered to make any promises to improve my life (even if the promises are lies) over someone who makes the effort? What the hell is in it for me as a non-Igbo to vote for an Igbo candidate whose single stated agenda is to allow his fellow Igbos to go on a 4-year looting and nepotism jamboree at Aso Rock?

If you can't be bothered to try to answer these obvious questions, don't be surprised that all your blackmails, threats and moans about "fairness, justice and equity" are ignored for the self-serving nonsense they are. Nobody who isn't already an Igbo chauvinist is going to pick up their PVC card and stand in line on election day to elect an Igbo tribal champion, no matter what you and your ilk say and do. But I'm sure even someone as slow on the uptake as you realises as much, which is why you're so eager to bypass the democratic process entirely, by getting a few elite politicians in the two main parties to simply "zone" their presidential candidacies to one of your "kinsmen" without any competition whatsoever. Too bad for you that will never, ever happen.
I know you will miss the point, but I didn't know you will jump inside the gutter grin

Ohanaeze should go Bleep themselves already. No one will be blackmailed or threatened into making an Okoro the president of the "zoo".

Very irritating elders without a pinch of commonsense.

Leave them. These guys will make the worst dictators. They simply want one of theirs to be pronounced the president even without elections.

I wish they can even carve out their patch of desolate landscape to them before nightfall so we can see the back of these irritating noise already.

70% of Igbos already don't believe in Nigeria ...after 2023 it would either be 40% or 99% ...the choice is Nigerians to make
Nigerians already made their choice today. They wont be voting an Okoro. You people should do your worst already.

Spits.

OfoIgbo:
Well said.

A few years ago, I once wrote that Igbos fall into 3 categories.
1. Those that want BIafra (mainly the artisans and such)
2. Those that want restructuring
3. Those that want a core SE man to assume the presidency in 2023, after many decades of Igbos not controlling the executive powers of Nigeria.

Already, the Biafran proponents have been making their feelings known and are spiritually no longer linked to Nigeria. But because these people are not the most educated set, they are restricted to being led by half-baked people who don't have what it takes to meander through the global political stage as it stands. This group is also being hampered and undermined by the activities of the Igbos that want the 2023 presidency.

The group that wants restructuring also see Biafra or Lower Niger Republic or the Ikenga nation as a restructuring exercise. They also envisage a properly restructured Nigeria. One thing they are against, is the status quo. So to this group, it is either Nigeria is properly restructured, or we all go our seperate ways.

The group that wants an Igbo man to occupy the presidency in 2023, is the group that practically controls the economy of Igboland and the elite. They are also the academics of Igboland, and people with varied global experiences in economic, political, diplomatic fields.
If 2023 comes and goes without an Igbo president, this group will now have nothing to loose. They will team of with the Biafran group and the restructuring group, and possibly lead the agitation for Igbos to break away from Nigeria. This agitation will be well financed, and led by the right sort of people with the skills and international exposure to carry it out. The current IPOB agitation may look like a child's play, compared with the agitation that will follow, in 2023.

I don't envisage any 2023 presidency, having what it takes to pacify the coming agitation. What can such a person possibly tell the Igbo nation? That they will get the presidency in 2027? What then is wrong with Igbos getting it in 2023? The agitation will be unquenchable.

Any president that emerges in 2023 will never be perceived by the Igbos as a peace-maker. The person will possibly be seen as enemy number one. After all such a person will be deemed to be aware of the injustice against Ndigbo and still went ahead to take a presidential mandate that should have been given to a deserving Igbo man, just the same way Ogbonnaya Onuh stepped down for Olu Falae in 1999.

Any non-Igbo president in 2023 will definitely be holding unto a poisoned chalice.
You hit the nail bro. Well said.

Many don't know this or they are just plain daft. Ohaneze-Ndigbo is telling the truth the way it is.

2023 will expose a lot.
