Golan007:

In January 2021 Israeli and Greece ministers of defence announced plans to establish a wide-ranging $1,68 billion security agreement that include the procurement of 10 M-346 aircraft and the establishment and operation of a flight school for the Hellenic Air Force by Elbit Systems, including provisions for simulators, training and logistic support.[25]

Same source.

Note the keywords "that includes" meaning not only 10 M-346. Aircraft but also a complete Airforce standard Flight school, with simulators and logistics support..

Nigeria isn't building a new flight school or are we?!

$1.2 billion... Haba Kilode

Unit cost per one is $20,000,000 x 24 = $480,000,000

Training + Logistics + lobbying + building of Facilities, new airstrips and Hangars = $ highest $120,000,000

Total = $ 600,000,000

.

Nigeria is buying it at $50M each!
That is about 150% more than the selling Price!!
Mr. Integrity where are you? No ownder they dont want the "War" to end.

After 2023, l am sure we will hear about all the corruption and shenanigans of Mr. Integrity and Body language, just dont come and tell us then, that you are not aware of what was/is going on under your watch.
We think you are taking a slice in all these inflated contracts and sordid corruption.

BTW, we are fighting Boko Haram and Fulani Terrorist Herdsmen who dont have Air Power, yet we are buying "Air-to-Air Weapons (Jet Fighters) to fight them?
Something tells me that the North, under Buhari is just acquiring all these weapons for Northern use, against Southerners because they dont have confidence that these lopsided contraption will not break into Civil war very soon.

That is why Buhari and his Fulani Cabals are concentrating all the Military installations of Nigeria in the North, especially Kano, Kaduna and Katsina axis

Entanglement:
Air to air support!

Is boko haram now airborne?

Let’s say MI 35M helicopter is attacking ground based target. It will provide air to air support for the MI Helicopter.

If anyone thinks all this Jet FIghters are to fight Boko Haram or Terrorist Fulani Herdsmen, that person needs to be "calming down " a bit. The North is almost fully ready! Sai Buhari

The M-346FA will come between the Super Tucano and JF-17Thunder to become the workhorse of the NAF by complementing the Counter Insurgency warfare carried out by the A-29 Super Tucano and provide air to air/ air superiority support to the JF-17 Thunder for strategic air defence and deep strike missions.

Is it the same BokoHaram ISWAP insurgency that Nigerian Airforce is writing all these big grammar on, or they are seriously trying to justify a $1bb spend

You should ask: What is Buhari;s Priority?
Nepotistic Feudalism, Fulani domination of Southerners and Middle Belt.
Can building Refinery or Hospitals achieve that?
2015 was a generational mistake we will have to live with, for a long time.

This is unprecedented in the history of Nigeria.

Buhari has done well with equipping our military. We cannot be called giant of Africa without military arsenals.

Now this is more like it.

Past leaders virtually did nothing for our military unlike Buhari has done

Yes you damn right. Truth be said, I may not like his regime but to be candid, he has done well on equipping our armed forces. Unfortunately, the BH/ISWAP gained ground due to unequipped armed forces we have. Truly, it takes time to acquire these fighting equipment which had made the terrorists to gain ground.
In addition, I noticed that suicide bombing has been reduced to zero, compare to previous years.
For me, kudos to our President on this. But he should try more on Kidnapping, economic sabotage etc... God bless Nigeria.

foolishness is when compare Ferrari with Keke. I would rather have 1 f-35 than these rubbish that can't pal with 3rd generational jet fighter. 1 stinger missile will turn these flying cofins into debris .

Ogbeni shutttt up and shift.

Nigeria is building and there are various aircraft equipped for very specific roles.

We cannot acquire aircraft just for the fun of it when our major priority now is the fight against insurgency.

Read the OP again. It is meant to take over the fight against insurgency since it's more modern and better equipped for that.

We should get the F-35 because we are joining Ukraine to fight back against Russia abi?

Stop typing if na to build fantastic castles in the air you sabi do without assessing your immediate values and needs
BMC shameless anuofia .only 1 stinger will turn these 2nd generational cofins into debris.

Yes and same Google would also include the cost of it's vast weaponry when added to the aircraft or the cost of flight training or for future maintenance.

. Its includes pilots training , ammunition , maintenance cost etc ! It's not just the aircrafts . Just like in the case of the A 29 Super Tucano , about 45 Air force pilots had to be trained for that ! And you know what the cost of training and ordinary airline pilot is , talkless of Air force pilots . The cost of Bombs etc... . So they are not just recieving and empty and unarmed Aircrafts cool cool cool

Bros, you forgot money for boys and settlement. Na when Federal law makers bought HP Desktop system for 600k each, that was like 4 years ago, when it was around 98, that was when I knew how corrupt this people are. Aside that, Nice fighter Jet I must say, if used properly, with ground troops, it will see the beginning of the End of ISWAP and BH.

My mind changed after I experienced the over enhanced quality and comfort of Nigerian railway corporation. I'm sure we will all appreciate this man better once he leaves office. I reckon these fighter jets will not be for only boko haram terrorists, they will also be used to deal decisively with Ipob/ESN terrorists.

Kudos to a performing president. If the country had acquired these war planes during the sixteen years of the locusts, security of the country would not have been so much compromised.
