Thank you God. I just can’t express my feeling. My mouth is full of praises for hours, I have dance, cry, laugh, jump. I’m short of words, God finally came through. Since June 5th last year, first time applicant. It’s finally out. Thanks everyone, I can’t lie the wait is not easy. It got to a stage I deleted my Nairaland page just to relax my brain. Thanks everyone from mr. Anon to everybody that has been keeping this page busy, your words of encouragement is really worth it. The good news will definitely go round for each and everyone of us.

Demonstrate how this funds was accumulated, remove tax clearance, it's not required . Do you still have the funds in the account? If no, kindly pay tuition with GIC ( This expedites your application ).

Hello guys,

Attached is my GSM notes.

I will appreciate imputes on how to address it before my next application.

Thanks so much.

Hello Mrczar,

From your note, points of concern was;

1). Most of your available POF was a large lump sum deposit. And on top of that, you didn't explain and prove the source of the lumpsum. As a matter of fact, the VO felt the money was borrowed for demonstration purposes. So you need to work on that, explain how and where the money came from. Attach proof.

2). You claimed an annual rental income of 1million. Did you back it up with evidence such as the building papers, pictures of the building, tenancy agreements, reciepts of payment of rent by tenants, etc?

3). Tax: Now we have seen people that didn't submit tax Clearance certificate but still got their approval. I always advice when you start something, always endeavour to finish/complete it and not create a loophole(s) they VO will use as reason to reject you. You applied in 2021 maybe, and only submitted tax certificate of 2016 and maybe you started work before then or the company you used existed before then. So what then happens to their tax Clearance previous years and subsequent years. So you may need to submit all dated tax Clearance certificate, and or come up with justifiable reason for the omission.

4). Establishment: VO is concerned that you're not established in your country that will compel you to come back. Now, outside your job that you will come back to after studies, do you have any other socio-economic home ties to Nigeria? What financial ties you have in Nigeria. Assets, family ties or are you single etc. You may need to work on that if any. And if you have them, then guess you didn't explain it well in your SOP. So you need to explain it better in your LOE.

5). Study plan is vague: how do you categorize the course you want to read in Canada. Career progression or academic progression or non of the mentioned (change of career path)? If change of career path, did you do well in your SOP to outline and buttress on reasons why you want to pursue said course in Canada and not in your home country where it is cheaper? You really need to work on your PURPOSE OF STUDY, WHY THE COURSE and WHY CANADA.

That's my humble opinion. So sorry for your refusal.

All the best

That's the only 2 available with that given name. You can't compose a message without being sure of the date you filed notice of discontinuance. You will have to add evidence of notice of Discontinuance from court. E-G PDF of your court proceedings with the court registrar.
