I have given a beggar 50 riyal before in form of thanksgiving to God, it's no big deal. Depends on the location she begs in Abuja. lots of people, especially rich school kids use foreign currency to show off among their peers, this is very common in Asokoro & Jabbi, I don't know about other areas though.
