Their compound isn't good enough to bury their dead bodies, it has to be an air-conditioned house. Even in their deaths they are wasteful!

God would have blessed his family more if they had donated the home to an orphanage and buried Akala in the compound at one of his numerous mansions.

Hmm. I don't get to understand the rationale behind burial extravagance. For me, it is beyond preposterous. Not to judge, but all these folks lived their time and the bad effects of their existence probably outweigh the good side in terms of impact.

Akala was a blessing to Ogbomoso my home town , he's a blessing to Oyo State and even after death, he deserves such a great celebration, his philanthropic works while he's alive goes way above all this that you see and should the children or the family decide not to give him such a befitting burial, thousands of other people who felt his impact while he's alive would arise to do it. His family has donated so much to orphanages and they are still doing so but they are so blessed that doing that doesn't affect them not to give their patriarch a befitting resting place.

Well taken. However, corruption marred its take-off. Have you been to the college of medicine to see its physical structures? Most are poorly constructed and offer no commensurate value for money allegedly spent on them. It irritates me to see the shoddy work done. In the same manner most if not all the roads Akala built were dilapidated in months. Truth is mediocrity and corruption were his first and first names! Shioooorrr!!!

Resting place for dead carcass or for the soul? You definitely do not know that once the spirit leaves the body, the entire body is useless. Thank God you said to you sir. I take that as your opinion. But I know none of our Pastors will die and we'll just bury them anyhow so that we won't waste money. It's not just because we are burying them, it's a show of appreciation for what they have done while alive, we saw how TB Joshua was buried and we saw how Daddy Adeboye's son was buried. NO SINGLE MAN CAN SOLVE ALL OF HUMANITY'S PROBLEMS, WE JUST DO THE LITTLE WE CAN AND LEAVE.

If his family decides not to give him a befitting burial, that money won't solve human's problems that he ensured he paid great attention to while alive.

You have a right to your opinion, I have a right to mine as well. We see things from different perspectives. Mentioning Constituted Authority isn't an insult to him as they were both ex-governors in Oyo state, that's the common basis for my comparison.

To me, a befitting burial isn't necessarily tantamount to building an entire house furnished with A/C for a carcass that will be devoured by maggots and insects. Take it or leave it.
