Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State, on Saturday, disclosed that his wife, Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano, is to contest for Anambra North Senatorial District in the 2023 general elections.

He said his wife is contesting the position to continue from her humanitarian services to the people of the state. 

The governor disclosed this while addressing members of Nigeria Union Journalists (NUJ), Anambra State chapter, at his home town, Aguleri, in Anambra East Local Government Area of the state, shortly after embarking on tour with members of NUJ to Anambra International Conference Centre (AICC) with 10,000 capacity, Awka City Stadium and the State International Passenger/Cargo Airport.

Speaking further, the governor used the tour to inform the journalists that his administration had completeted a total of 133 roads across the 181 communities in the state and that International Flight will commence in Anambra Airport, in two weeks time.

Yes we campaigned for soludo while most of you rallying around him were abusing him and supporting pdp/apc. Soludo wont have won on his own. The people made him win. there is no where in the world where inauguration is festivities is considered as waste of funds, just the usual playing to the gallery to please fools like you. The governor said Anambra has 15 oil wells with ENIYE 10940 Oil field operated by SEEPCO wholly owned by the state.

Governor Willie Obiano says Anambra will begin to earn 13 per cent derivation in line with its status as an oil producing state starting from March.

Mr Obiano disclosed this at a media parley with journalists in Aguleri, Anambra, after a tour of the Awka International Convention Centre and Anambra Cargo and passenger airport on Saturday.

He said he was notified by the Nigeria Midstream and Downstream Pricing and Regulatory Agency, who had confirmed lifting of crude oil in commercial quantity in the state.
He said Anambra had 15 oil wells with ENIYE 10940 Oil field operated by SEEPCO fully operational and wholly owned by the state.

[s]She is not more generous than Adaeze Oduah. Anambra elections is not only about who has money. Remember how Okaka Ojoto (Annie Okonkwo) was throwing money about to intimidate Ede Obosi (Mike Ajegbo) but at the end Okonkwo was embarrassed.

ETHIOPIAN AIRLINES TO LAND IN ANAMBRA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO CONFIRM ITS INTERNATIONAL STATUS

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has revealed that in two weeks time, an international flight from the fleet of Ethiopian Airlines will land at the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport to confirm its international status.

Obiano was speaking to journalists in his home in Aguleri, Anambra East Local Government Area, after conducting them through the airport and the newly constructed International Conference Center in Awka.

He said: “In the next two weeks, a flight from Ethiopian Airlines will land at the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport, Umueri. We are working seriously on it.

“This will boost agriculture, as most agricultural produce will be easily exported through the Anambra international cargo and passenger airport.

“In terms of safety, it is the best, and has landing facilities that you can hardly find in any airport in Nigeria,” Obiano said.
