Bonny and new yam festival....no such thing exist.
The ibani people like their brothers .....the okrikans, kalabaris n so are well known fishermen n not farmers.
We don't have the lands to farm but the ocean to do whatever.

This isnt fact but distortions from your own imagination.
How come people you all claim are Ibos don't see themselves so.
Why aren't our parents giving us Ibo names but rather Ijaw names.

Think miscreants think.
The truth stares you in the face but you lots choose to be useless.

Any igbos you see in Okrika are descendants of Igbo slaves no two ways about it. There are no Igbo Okrika, saying that Okrika people have Igbo Origin is an insult to Wakirike people spit.

That's your opinion, but we've seen Igbo Okrirkans who say they are indigenous to the lands and the historical documents goes in line with their statements. I'm not refuting the fact they were slaves of a measurable number, but they were still Igbo indigenes of Okrirka who were among the progenitors of the state.

The explores or whatever are wrong very wrong! Our ancestors were never igbo to begin with I don't get you people tho, have you been to Okrika kingdom before? has any Okrikan come out to tell you or anyone that their ancestors were igbos? undecided Okrika people don't speak Igbo or practice igbo culture,so I don't understand where you get that idea from. And lastly, there's no Igbo Okrika or whatever, what we have is Okrika and we are 100% an ijaw clan.

Well, some Okrirkans don't follow that, and historical documents do say the opposite.

Well written and put out.
The Bonny and opobo indegenes need to start speaking up for themselves.
I'm sure some of you saw how they made an audio, for the bonny indegenes to leave their original Igbo language for ijaw.
If one is thoughtful they'd ask them why they need to change the already spoken language to something else against the peoples will.

This is what will always be your undoing.
You and your cohorts not being able to tell what OKOLOMA or okoloama means, ask Ekealterego.
Meanwhile it is well known even by the older Igbo folks that ndoki and some part of oguta and more especially the Igbo people known as oru-igbo are ijo people who were absolved by the Igbo people who surrounded them. They may have forgotten, but Ndoki never forgets, they always maintain they are ijaw people. Do not be a fool. Bonny, kalabari, ndoki are from the same stalk from the central delta of kolokuma/opokuma
Go and ask instead of misbehaving here on nairaland.
The screenshot in opobo group by an ndoki man tells it all.
You can't even grab ndoki or Opobo, it is Bonny, same Bonny you can't even translate what it's traditional name(OKOLOMA/OKOLOAMA) means.
Clown.

Maybe this looks clearer......

I'm happy that the native authority and custodians of Bonny culture are proud of their Igbo heritage and would never allow politicization of it in anyway. They unambiguously admitted that Igbo language was the aboriginal language of the people and would remain their heritage!

He also acknowledged that while some of the names in the community is ijoid, their primary language remains Igbo!

I guess the major reason why Bonny was isolated and faced such threats on their cultures and tradition by Ijaws is because it's an island and Igbos from the hinterlands weren't really disposed to crossing the vast waters unlike the Ijaws that are mostly fishermen who live on boats. Once that bridge is completed, I foresee a huge influx of Igbos that would help the indigenous Igbos to feel less threatened.

Ijaws can only try in their landgrabbing attempts but they would never succeed in Bonny because the people are proud and have a rich history that is well documented.

Even if Nigeria breaks today or tomorrow, the real natives of Bonny will never go with ijaws, instead they would either stand alone or go with Igbos.

Have you been to Bonny before? Those guys are way more ijaws than Igbos, don't let anyone fool you, there way of life or their names are more ijaws than igbos.
Even in port Harcourt, you hardly see an average Bonny man in the uplander areas, they are mostly seen in the ijaws part of Port Harcourt.

Did you even read the press release by native Bonny people that was shown here? They stated clearly that Bonny people had dual heritage, of which one part was Igbo!

They also stated that while some of the names in their areas may be ijoid, that their native mother tongue since beginning has always been Igbo!

Even the first Igbo Bible was written in Bonny Igbo dialect!

So what exactly is your argument?!

I have never claimed to come from Bayelsa.
I am from rivers state n Opobo town in particular. Know that n know peace.
We are Ijaws n not ibos as you guys have been claiming since this forum was created.
Your claims in the past haven't changed anything on ground.

Lol, imagine a weak rant from the poisonous creeks of Bayelsa. I suppose you made this from your head? It's this careless boast that humbles people.

When Asari declared his Igbo heritage, I guess you were still in the Gbaramatu creeks roasting fish. And when Kalabari youths dissociated themselves from the Ijo rope I guess you were inside sanko.
Even the press release from the Amayanabo of Bonny Palace and the Bonny United Front is still giving you sleepless nights? So what will you do when Okrikans assert their Igbo links? I guess you’ll go depressed.
