Tinubu: I Didn't Say I Will Fight Dirty, I Said No Insult Will Make Me Back Down by Maxymilliano(m): 5:15am On Feb 22, 2022
The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has said that the statement that he vowed to fight dirty if there were plans to halt his presidential ambition in 2023, was taken out of its right context.

Tinubu accused media houses of twisting his words when he visited the Olubadan-designate, Senator Lekan Balogun on Sunday.

This was made known in a statement by his media aide, Mr Tunde Rahman, on Monday in Lagos State.

“This caption and report are inaccurate and erroneous. Sadly, the wrong headline and story have been latched on by some online platforms/blogs and commentators to pour invective on my person.

“These commentaries and remarks are unfortunate because they are groundless, misinformed and misdirected. Hence, this clarification has become imperative,” he said.

Tinubu stressed that at no time during the visit and in his speech did he indicate that he would fight dirty for his presidential ambition.
He noted that his words were carefully chosen stating that the people did not lend credence to such interpretation
.

However, Tinubu, while addressing the Olubadan designate, said: “Kabiyesi, all I have come for is to beg you to continue to pray for me, the entire Yoruba race and the country.
" am out to become the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and there is a wise saying that if you want to wrestle with the pig, be ready to get dirty and deal with the poo-poo[.

“I am ready to get dirty. No intimidation, no blackmail, no sort of insult will get me angry to the extent that I will say no more, I don’t want again.”

Tinubu is a man who does not speak for the sake of it alone. He knows what is to come.

It is the way. The Nigerian sytem will always fear those they feel have the appeal, character and reformational talent/charisma to win elections and transform Nigeria. Like Awolowo or Abiola for example.

Same system conspired against Awolowo to crown the inept Shagari who only moved us backwards to the detriment of every Nigerian man, woman and child living in Nigeria beyond 1979.

They are up to their tactics again and we must ask what, for example, is all the shenanigans of Buni and co in aid of if not to cheat Tinubu of the right to fight fairly for the right to be APC candidate?

Tinubu should go for it. Yorubas are firmly behind him. So also many non-Yorubas. From day one, and long before Tinubu revealed his ambition, Buni has been shouting about not letting one "strong man" hijack APC.

Is that what Buni should be saying, if him and his crew understand the need to deepen our Political Party democracy, or should he be working to make APC a fair platform democratically available to all and denied non as his oga, Buhari, benefited from?

Tinubu is right to warn he will fight to be President. He knows opposition against his ambition goes all the way to the top.

you can't convince any new person to vote tilumbu apart from Yoruba Muzlems

Even in yolobaland it's always 45% vs 55% split

You can't convince we in south south let alone Igbos

Middlebelt with their majority won't go for tilumbu

Buhari isn't supporting tilumbu so how would he get votes in north

Dead Ambition, anyway like buhari said he should keep consulting till he reach fifa and uefa

Tinubu's camp errors..

"You would be president after me" -
- Tinubu VS Nigerian youths.

"I am ready to fight dirty with anybody"
- Tinubu VS Other APC factions.

"Anytime the SW wants to be president, they always refuse"
- Tinubu VS Other regions yet to even taste VP or president.

The signs are quite visible that Nigeria might unite against Tinubu.

It was you hallelujah boys that pitched tinubu against the APC when you brazenly branded him APC national Leader, even though there was a sitting president. What happened to addressing tinubu as a party chieftain?

That was a very big subsisting insult and slight to buhari.
If he mistakenly hands over to tinubu, then his (buhari) face and name would be completely obliterated and overshadowed from the annals of APC history.

Tinubu had better pump more money into SDP, a party where Olu Falae whom you hallelujah boys have severally called omoale for being friends with Jonathan holds sway.

Senility caught up with tinubu faster than thunderstorm. His youth was heavily characterized with drinking, snorting, fvcking, partying and smoking excessively.

Hmmm...

I am yet to hear/read about BAT addressing the issue of how he plans to develop nigeria, institute reforms, tackle the high rate of insecurity, build bridges across ethnic divides so as to douse the present high distrust, his plans for education, health, how he will address the bludgeoning debt, his vision for infrastructure development & how to ensure democratic freedoms...

It seems he is running on the premise that Nigerians 'owe' him & there fore he wants to be president.

BAT needs to move past this his stance of wanting to be president simply because he feels he has paid a 'supposed' price (I wonder what that maybe).

He should marshal out a realistic road map & mission & vision policy so that he can begin to be judged by the people based on what he has to offer.

Well, maybe he will do that when campaigns start fully...

Because if he keeps up his antics of feeling that he is unstoppable even without a plan for Nigerians, then he is truly no better than the disasters before him.

I said Ancestors not witches, it's the Yoruba ancestors that will make him president according to alaafin. Witches don't have a say, witches no get mouth. Una level too small for this kind of assignment. And it's really shameful if you're indeed over 60 years old, you have destroyed the country during your own time and now you want to destroy it for your children's time too.

The most satisfying thing about him (Asiwaju) is that he's ahead of all the Igbo Presidential aspirants, put together. He will defeat them in any election, any day, anytime and twice on an election day.

I'm always super excited, each time I see Igbos commeting hates on Yoruba related posts. It always reek of envy and jealous of a tribe trying to do catch up.

You're always sentimental and getting ahead of yourself. Watch and see if Buhari, Buni, Malami etal get their way as easily as you lot claim will happen.

How many active politicians do you know personally? Like or hate them, many deserve their positions because they can think pragmatically far better, more dispassionately and more effectively than the average Nigeria to gain what they want.

They will, for example, know there will be new life, new powers, new alliances, new policies and new national direction beyond Buhari merely in a matter of 15 months.

No bigger example than GEJ you Igbos deified a modern day messiah, while President, yet he is now a powerless and zero-influence errand boy and diplomatic envoy for Buhari.

Nigerian politicians, unlike ordinary Nigerians, understand that power is only permanently vested in the Presidential office and not in the occupiers of the seat who come and go every 8 years max.

2022 to 2023 will be interesting.

We also know tinubu was nadeco by day and abacha boy by night. Tinubu has always schemed his way through every situation to make gains for himself. Betraying the old brigade when they were unsuspecting and truly believed in the omoluabi mantra. But tinubu brought division and backstabbing to modern day Yoruba politics which obliterated the old brigade, and with Lagos State money, crowned himself emperor.

At a point, tinubu was carrying on like a resurrected Awolowo, until well meaning Yoruba elders stopped the charlatan in his tracks.
