They used to have that energy to be all about. We don't play fast enough unless in trouble so they would have been fine

outside the goal, Atletico created nothing from open play.
like I said, the early goal helped their plan to bunker. teams can score from their first attack, this isn't the first time it has happened.
this also doesn't mean Man United played well enough, especially in the first half. the wingers didn't move at all - Lindelof isn't a full back, Shaw and Rashford the chief culprits.

This is what a sensible Manager should do, not asslicking the owners of the club at the detriment of your performance. Speak out if you need new players, and the board is not buying you any. Let them sack him with a hefty payout....
