oyin000000: 1. Yes, If your aunt and uncle have any formal/legal/court documents that supports them as her current guardian, otherwise go with parents name, if requested in future you could provide any of your late parents identity card(government issued most preferable) and death cert. to support your claims. They could both use grandma's address since it is fact applicable to them at this time. 2. Would be appropriate to put yours/siblings or relatives who have been actively sponsoring her. Thus if you want to put yourself, you should be aware you would need to support with evidence how you have done so, either by remittance of funds or others. 3 &4. In your letter you would need to be explicitly clear on her well-being, safety regarding she is а minor, whoever would be traveling with her or consent to her visiting you must do so backing it with an official document(s) that he/she has the legal authority to do so. 16 years of age, most appropriate once she turns 18 she could travel on her own. 4. Write/call to know when her passport will arrive as well wait. Both measures should be taken. Best of lucks |

Thanks a lot. I don't sponsor her on a day to day, I'm only sponsoring this trip. Will my uk account details, payslips and letter from my office be okay for this or will I need to remit the money elsewhere? Should I fill the income on her application as "no income" since she doesnt have any income or put my income there? Also since I'm currently a dependent and have a brp(expires when my husbands get his ILR in 2024), should I fill on her form for family in the uk that "I'm in the uk permanently" or "I have a temporary visa"? leef2022: |

Hi Amelia..hope you are good. sorry im post my question under someone elses post. quick one I younger brother is planning to apply for UK visa with a paid conference invitation and the trip is going to be fully funded by his organisation. please what do you think he should get prepared in terms of documents Secondly can the trip be fully funded by his organization ? If yes, what and what documents does his company need to provide for him apart from company bank statement. He is married with two kids He is a certified surveyor and valuer Thank you |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by leef2022: 1:52pm On Feb 24, 2022 |
oyin000000: 1. All measures stated should do. 2. Income then thick off regular income from family friends and relatives. But be aware you would have to state how much she receives and the regularity of such support. This could be from any persons but a good history of such active role in regards to her upkeep would be required. If that is not applicable you may chose others or no income, but MAY need more explaining than previous. 3. Since another sister( 28years and working like you mentioned) intends to travel with her, if financially buoyant she may take it up, to say she would sponsor the trip herself(i.e for herself and the minor sister), get an accommodation for the applications that is withoutyou sponsoringany parts of the trip.. Not implying this but your status may not be sufficient and convincing enough to the eco like would be the previous, but then, again she should be aware, she would need to show she has the legal rights and custody of the minor, and if she's single, she doesn't need consent of anyone or other persons to travel with the minor(since the minor's parents her late) but must be able to convince the eco financially and with home ties that the trip won't cause any negative impact to their circumstances after the visit. Finally you can't fill permanent when not permanent. As long you have a visa its temporary but with longer stay grace. 1 Like |

Pls post the link for the form you are filling. I still think you are filling something wrong. Worst case scenario put the end date on your COS as the visa end date. |

@leef2022 Help!!! Hello everyone I applied for uk spouse visa 12/08/2021 I got my visa refused in 29/11/2021 Reason was “”You have not submitted the following required documents as listed above. We wrote to you on 21/10/2021, 27/10/2021 and 12/11/2021. We gave you the opportunity three times to provide your sponsors last financial year (ending April 2021 with your application date being 12/08/2021) documents (CT600 and Accounts). Each reply from your representatives provided us with the same CT600 and accounts for the period May 2019 to April 2020. You have therefore failed to provide the required documents relating to your sponsor’s employment. These documents are specified in the Immigration Rules in Appendix FM- SE and must be provided. I therefore refuse your application under paragraph EC- P.1.1(d) of Appendix FM of the Immigration Rules. (E-ECP.3.1)”” I put in an appeal immediately and I also request for a decision reconsideration on 2/2/2022 as we have been able to get the CT600 (April 2020 to April 2021)but I haven’t gotten any feedback on that yet. To go for the appeal I hear it takes I read it takes 6-12 month. Instead of just waiting endlessly, we are considering reapplying in March (priority) PS: we can only use the CT600 2020-2021 before April if we are to reapply . We feel like since that was the only reason we were refused , we stand a better chance All opinions are welcome Thanks in advance |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by leef2022: 7:43pm On Feb 24, 2022 |
UserTee: Hello Why did you and your representative not provide these documents during the applications? further 3 opportunities were presented yet you and representative provided an outdated version(in the refusal the eco sounds like a parent, who wishes well for the child but see the child wasting golden opportunities that many of his/her peers do not have). That you and the representative presented this required documents immediately to support your appeal makes me wonder why was the delay initially?. Then your knowledge that an appeal could take 6-12 months before it being listened to, note that does not even guarantee an end in sight, but more like initial review. Furthermore, you understanding that the current ct600 2020-2021 is valid for a year period. You have had to wait till March before you feel you have a better chance of re-applying with the CT600 2020-2021 makes me wonder why the blunderbuss approach. so what if there is a delay in the application such that a decision is received in April at which time the current Ct600 becomes invalid and you guys get asked for a future one at that time, you guys would probably delay presenting one, until after a refusal, right? With due respect to you, there's clear evidence of gross indecision which if not acted on could only keep attracting refusals. Answering to your question, each application is decided on the merit it deserves, as such whilst addressing the previous concerns as was stated in previous refusal make no mistakes, not to ensure other aspects of the application are readdressed as well as would be applicable to ensure a successful application. Thanks |

Expert in the house I need advise. I applied for UK visit visa October 2021. I received an email Nov. A refusal letter on the 25th of November. So I just went to collect my passport. I didn't even check after getting the email. I collected the passport myself at vfs global Abuja. Fast forward, I was just going through my passport today and I saw a stamped multiple entry clearance valid from 23 November 2021 to 23 may 2022. How is this even possible? The same shirt I used in capturing was in my passport. How can they issue visa on my passport and send me a rejection email. Has anyone ever experienced this. NB: I have been to the uk before. Did my masters. Left before my visa expired. That was January 2021. 3 Likes

@nerobliss it is best to find out what’s on their system. Not that you will get to the border and they’ll turn you back that affixed visa was an error or even at intl airport and then it gets cancelled. Best is to apply for your immigration records with them asap. Also while waiting for that, check your refusal letter of it was in tandem with your circumstances… 1 Like |

leef2022: Thank you so much for the reply The accountant who was supposed to provide the ct600 took forever We understand our negligence, this was due to some financial constraints We are hoping if we are able to apply by middle March (biometric included) We won’t have to provide another ct600 since the application has been put in before April?what do you think? We hope to get a date for biometric as soon as possible (luckily this is not the peak period for visa applications) Will put in the application next week as soon as TB test is done |

Hello Help me b4 UKVI drives me crazy. I was refused visa on the 14th of October. The reason is that i didn't meet up with the financial requirements, but I did. So I went for an Administrative review the same day. I heard nothing from this UK home office until 17th of December. I was notified of my successful administrative review. But till now they have not reached me on any decision made yet. I used the paid enquiry to escalated the matter, they sent an email that a decision has been made but they can't disclose it on line( this one was happening last month) that I should wait for 15 working days, that they will reach me. I am still waiting.oooh, I don't know my left from my right, too much uncertainties concerning the visa application. I disturbed thier life with the paid enquiry, they are still saying the same thing, the Home office is busy, wait for 15days your issue has been escalated. I have waited for 15days 2 times now. Is there any other thing i can do? Any other channel I cam use and mount pressure in them? |

Pandaaa: Hello, Please was it visit visa that you applied for? Did you apply from Nigeria? How did you go about administrative review? because i know visit visa refusals don't have that right. They made a clear mistake in my case and they have not responded to several mails i have sent. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by leef2022: 10:52am On Feb 25, 2022 |
UserTee: I think you would do a better application this time. BTW middle March? (i.e any date from 15th March) from my calculations you would have less than 15 WDs(not always the case though) for standard application, or you could go for priority services to get a decision within March. Note to self, no one knows what news around the world would cos unnecessary delays at a given diplomatic post, and if a decision is not reached within the validity of the current ct600, the eco may/may not request for a valid one at a later time. On the other hand you may wait for April/May, request for a future ct600 from your representative, revamp your documents and put in your application at a later time. You can't afford a post-term, nor an embryonic application at this time. Regards. |

I’m sorry for the late reply. Been in transit. The company should provide registration docs, bank statement, letter of confirmation for your brother, what he does etc, a letter to explain what he’s going for and that the company is fully sponsoring. The details of the conference, hotel booking. All the best! ikaonigent: |

Travel update. Biometrics for husband- 20 Oct 2021 Visa granted- 31 Dec 2021 Collection email - 12 Jan 2022 Full PTA granted to both of us using GTB ($500 cash and $3500 on a prepaid card). GTB is using this to manage their PTA. We left Lagos using Virgin Atlantic. When we got to the border, we were directed to use the British line for families or people with the old British passport. Since I’m British but couldn’t use the E gates so we used that other British line to accommodate my husband’s Nigerian passport. When we got to the officer, he asked what relationship we have. I said we’re married and he laughed and said- he didn’t want to assume as we may have been brother and sister. He asked how long we’re staying for and my husband said- a week. That was it. No questions on funds available etc. Meanwhile, our Neighbours were being drilled about their relationship. There were three of them and they asked if they’re family. Woman said- yes. What’s your relationship? Woman said- they’re my in laws. The officer said- please explain. Woman said- this is my son’s wife. Officer asked many more questions which she couldn’t answer. Then she changed it to son’s friend’s wife. They were arguing back and forth. Please be straight forward with your answers at the border. All the best, guys! |
