mostob:....lol...about South Africa, although, i think we are a better team than what we were at the Aisha Buhari Tournament, the addition, of this new ladies will bring real competition into the team, it is refreshing to know that we still have quality players that have not debut for us in players like Patricia George. The old girls have their work cut out for them as the younger ones are knocking on the door big time. To be honest i think our qualifiers were as good as a quarter or semifinal at the AWCON proper. |

carbonado:Patricia George Halimatu Ayinde(Hope she has recovered) |

BascoVanVeli:Not Ajibade!! I would say Regina Otu or Esther Okoronkwo and Ohale are players of the match. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by mostob(m): 6:11pm On Feb 25, 2022 |
carbonado:Well..I don't rate South Africa....not like I'm writing them off totally but I don't see them as a major threat. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 6:28pm On Feb 25, 2022 |
For me Ajibade is our best player right now and she's very versatile , striker , Center midfielder , attacking mildfield , winger , she can play anywhere in the attacking third. Ordega decision making has been rubbish recently why is she not passing the once instead of putting the team in trouble ? Alozie is a winger not a right back we all can see how good she is going forward , most of the chances we created in the 2 legs came through Ajibade BascoVanVeli: |

mostob:... I like that, however, i feel that they are the ones that has given us the most problem in recent years, we have not beaten them in open play in the last 3 meetings, we meet twice at the last AWCON, they beated us in the group stage, and we won on penalties in the finals, they beat us again during the Aishat Buhari Cup. |

I have more confidence in this squad though, especially due the quality additions..e.g Plumtre, George, Onumonu, Okoronkwo etc i feel like the older ladies were becoming laid back... However, with the fight for shirt, they will situp. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by mostob(m): 6:47pm On Feb 25, 2022 |
carbonado:That is sad but the fact is we always beat them when it matters. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 7:09pm On Feb 25, 2022 |
carbonado:It's pretty obvious why they beat us. They are a lot more pacy and coordinated. I believe those girls have played together for years hence the seeming advantage. Half of the current super falcons team are new introductions dating back just a few years, the other half are older who sadly are not as swift as they used to be. |

lakesidepapa:I didn't quote you too. At least I'm sure your wife or girlfriend doesn't look better than her in any way. |

isan:That pass was something else. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by GeneralDae: 8:52pm On Feb 25, 2022 |
I think Regina Otu made the difference in Coted'Ivore. The reason they dominated our midfield easily in Abuja was due to the lack of a true defensive midfield fighter. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by GeneralDae: 8:56pm On Feb 25, 2022 |
My top six teams in the next Awcon: Nigeria Southafrica Morocco Zambia Cameroon Tunisia Notable mention: Senegal. |

JohnBullMySon:Does that justify the fact that you and your guy know the meaning of "Cute"..? You're kid.! Have a nice night. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 10:13pm On Feb 25, 2022 |
I just hope Patricia George get the chance to fight for a spot in the team... Ashleigh Plumptre played Left Back during the second leg in Cote D'Ivoire.. Patricia George will definitely do justice to that position with all the Qualities have seen. Another edge is that she uses both feets effectively and can play over multiple positions.. If she was available for the Ivorians game, I don't think they would have been able to get past her cause she's very Fast and Physical too... None of our present Defenders are as quick as Patricia. |

JohnBullMySon:Come and play for your country Zogg |

BascoVanVeli:Michelle Alozie can't man that RWB. See as the CIV girl displaced her easily. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by carbonado(m): 1:52am On Feb 26, 2022 |
mostob:...True that, however, we need to step it up... They are knocking on the door. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by carbonado(m): 1:55am On Feb 26, 2022 |
Schemerkhiz:what other positions can she play, are you saying that Plumtre will have to be benched if George is to play. What other positions can she play. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by PDPGuy: 2:04am On Feb 26, 2022 |
carbonado:Plumptre can move into CB, which is her natural position |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by carbonado(m): 2:19am On Feb 26, 2022 |
PDPGuy:...okay,the defence seems to be getting stronger, Ohale - Ebi - Plumtre - George. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by GeneralDae: 6:41am On Feb 26, 2022 |
carbonado:The defence is okay like this, especially against tough oppositions. Alozie would be a better right wing forward than a right back. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 8:34am On Feb 26, 2022 |
carbonado:Ashleigh Plumptre can play multiple positions too, She's supposed to be playing at No.5... Onome Ebi position but don't think Coach Randy would like to bench Ebi for now until she decides to retire though the aging sign have been showing on the Field of play.. Ashleigh plays left back and Midfield too.. As for Patricia George she's naturally a Wing Backs (Left or Right), she plays as a winger too and as a center forward.. but right now in the Superfalcons team the Left or Right back position is the only available spot for her... |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 8:39am On Feb 26, 2022 |
GeneralDae:The Coach can decide to go with 3 center Backs to give room for Ashleigh natural position at Leicester City... In few months time, Onome Ebi would be 39yrs, I know very well she doesn't want to retire yet except she plays at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup which would be her 6th and another record for her.. note she's also eyeing her 100 and over 100caps with the Superfalcons which I know she will definitely get... Ashleigh might continue playing from the Left until Onome retires or Randy decide to start benching Onome. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 8:45am On Feb 26, 2022 |
If no injury and they're all fit, My 7 defenders for the AWCON would definitely be 1. Onome Ebi 2. Osinachi Ohale 3. Ashleigh Plumptre 4. Michelle Alozie 5. Oluwatosin Demehin or Onyinyechi Zogg or Akudo Esther Ogbonna 6. Patricia George 7. Nicole Payne |
