You'll get it. A strong Invitation letter with the certified permanent resident and a responsible and established applicant is the hack
Hiikayauto:
Hello everyone.
I flew from Lagos to abuja to submitted a visitors visa application 2days ago. Thank God I came across this tread if not I would have gone to abuja without booking appointment. I paid 22,500 for vfs appointment online before traveling to abuja and about 11,600 for visa fee , sms charge and courior service, the 11,600 must be via POS, You must pay with your ATM card and you won't be allow to submit your application without an appointment letter with you. my last visit to South Africa was January 2017, when arrived I applied for visa extension but I got denied , I was told to leave the republic within 10days but I left after 2 months of denial, I hope that won't affect this application I submitted. My uncle is a South African citizen, so he sent me an invitation letter with his South Africa ID card(with police stamp), he also attached his utility bill and bank statement even doe I stated on my introduction letter that I will take full responsibility of my expenses. Im a business man so I have a good bank Acct inflow, my 6 months inflow was about 90m with a closing balance of 2.5m. I also summitted my business CAC , introduction letter from my company ( I am the CEO ) and myself introduction letter, a copy of my previous SA visa, bank reference letter, colored copy of my original yellow card from the health ministry, flight reservation, 2 copy's of passport photographs
, my international passport, I didn't need hotel reservation because my uncle stated on the invitation letter that I will be staying in his residence during my stay. I arrange all documents myself, didn't pay 1 kobo to any agent. I hope I get the visa, I will be back here to tell you guys what's up.

Please try to confirm you're not under any ban before you apply.

Do you know the consequences of overstaying? Anyone who overstay their visa by more than 30 days will be declared ‘undesirable’ and banned for a period of 5 years. This means that the person will not be allowed to re- enter South Africa for the next five years.
The ban applies to any person who has overstayed, adults and children. Also affects people who leave South Africa while their application for a visa (or visa extension) is pending, if their current visa has expired.

By the way did you receive a document from Immigration officer, confirming to be an 'undesirable' person, when you exit South African border?

When I was exiting SA 2017 m. I explained to the airport lady and sorted her with $100 and she just stamp me out and told me to leave. I was not given any paper. This year will make it 5years. Even if I was ban.

Good moved… Since you weren’t been given any document related to your overstay and also you have make a planned with the immigy officer then you have no issue concerning the overstay again.

Importantly, it does not matter if your ban has over and you can only return to South Africa once you have applied to the South African Department of Home Affairs for the ban to be lifted as it is not automatically removed from their system. The person must apply for the ban to be lifted. If he/she do not, he will be refused entry into South Africa at the Port of Entry.
Good luck bro.

I submitted application early January for visitor's visa to take up my postdoc Fellowship in SA. The whole delay is really not making sense again and seriously affecting my other plans.

This waiting game is tiring and frustrating…… I really don’t understand why it’s taking forever to get a South Africa study permit when the consulate is fully aware that most school registration will close by February ending……

Hello guys

Please, does anyone know how to go about making written representation? Very urgent please!!

I got a denial today for study visa (SA Consulate Lagos) on the basis of bank statement not up to date and insufficient fund. However, the account is up to date but there's only one transaction on it which is over 5 months. It is a dom account with naira value of more than 1.2m. In addition I have a sponsor whose 6 month cash flow is over 22m but the closing balance of his statement at the time was a lil over 100k. Aside from all these, tuition has been fully paid and I have someone to accommodate me.
Note: I have already started my programme last year as a remote student but I need to be present in SA for this academic year.
Anyways, I am planning to make a written representation within 10 working days as stated on the notice that I can.
Please, does anyone know how to go about the written representation? Very urgent please!!
Please also help with any other valuable advice. Thanks
