Was watching Le Goon against Wolves yesterday and was marveling at Odegaard’s technical abilities and thinking we could really use a controller-style midfielder.

Can’t wait for Hansen-Aaroen to mature. Boy has a football brain.

Kobbie Mainoo is very good. I liken him in play style to Pogba with an engine and better awareness.

can the club put the person/people up on a video forum where we can taste the layers of their thoughts? at least to establish a firm belief that they are sane, probably understand what the plans are because I find it difficult to accept Sir Alex is in the middle of all these.

Sir Alex don old. He is not involved in any decision making. When you see him walk and talk now you will appreciate that he is just there as a ceremonial figure.

For me the more football people the club can get involved in the decision making process the better for us. If we have Ralf as a consultant, Paul Mitchell as a football director, ten Hag as manager the chances of moronic football decisions been made will be low.

Mainoo at 16 is a bully. He has the most complete physical and technical package I have seen in a United youth midfielder in a long time. His floor is relatively high even though a player like Hannibal has a higher ceiling.

Our youth recruitment is funny sha. We have too many good midfielders and not enough good defenders, full backs, or even wingers.

P.S I like that Pogba comparison. He is a less gifted but more defensively aware Pogba.

With the hype around him, I had expected him to get more minutes in the first team by now...I don't know if I am overthinking here but then, we have seen the likes of Shoretire and Elanga get game time with the first team.

I hope Hannibal is given his fair share of opportunities too...

He has been unlucky in terms of timing of injuries and call ups. If not for his senior national call up he would have played more minutes now but he has gone for 2 international tournaments in the past couple of months and he has also had a few niggling injuries.

Elanga was just lucky. Without the Greenwood case and Martial’s push to leave he would not have had this opportunity. This is coupled of course with Rashford’s complete loss of form.

Hannibal has been on the bench a few times recently. He will get minutes if we are leasing 3-0 or 4-0. He plays a position that requires loads of experience.

Not a starting spot. You shouldn’t get a starting spot at United cos you did well in the Championship.


An option is the new manager assesses him during preseason and keeps him as a squad player but ensures he is not glued to the bench like VDB.

Another (maybe better) option is another loan but this time at a premier league side that can guarantee him regular games.


What Garner needs the most now is regular competitive game time preferably at a club where his mistakes would be low key and he can learn from them.

I don’t mind this imbalance to be honest. If we can replace the lizard hunters and keke mechanics currently ambling about the center line on every godforsaken match day, we will be the better for it.

The last time United dominated a European knockout game, we had technical specialists running the game for us. Our decline is directly traceable to our idiocy and recalcitrance concerning our midfield policy.

If we can blood in 3 class midfielders from the academy, I’d be more than satisfied. We can then target top tier attackers to bolster what we have and get a real rightback to bench Donut and Wan Bi-Scammer.

I think choosing Tunisia was the right choice. He gets to play men’s football in a rugged and punishing African setting.

Even if you’re borderline elite talent, you may not make it to the French National team as it is too stacked.

I think this will only help him get better. Tunisia sadly are even less cohesive than the Eagles

You have a point. In a club with good structure there is no way 3 of those midfielders won't make it here even if it is 1 starter and 2 squad players.
