I have discovered the best people in your life are the ones you know during your secondary school days. Most times I just wish I could gather all these amazing creatures together and be young forever again. Life becomes boring after this stage in life....we just striving to keep it positive

wanna put uni too but it can't accommodate for the subject.... to me all other relationships post university aren't very genuine to me.

I feel the reason we tend to appreciate secondary school friends more is probably cause we feel there aren't after whatever it is we achieved later in life cause they were there before the achievement was made, and also because we've known them long enough become experts in dealing with thier shortcomings. We spend 6 years with these guys at a point in our lives when we aren't really concerned about life issues. At this point, most of our time is spent building our relationships. These friends aren't necessarily better than people we meet later in life but they are the "devil we know"; the ones whose limitations we've come to accept and normalize. As adults, we hardly stay at the same place for that long. Even when we do, we're more preoccupied with life issues.

That said, I believe it's actually more about the circumstances than the place (secondary school). You'd feel that way about anyone who toils with you long enough at a time in your life when you have enough space for relationships. Those who never attended any secondary school still have people like this in their lives. Some meet such people during the national service year.

In summary, great friendships are built when we meet the right people in the right circumstances. There are no hard and fast rules in life. You can meet your best friends just about anywhere.

OP, You are very correct particularly for ladies.

In secondary school, their friendship is so natural, nice and sweet to watch!.

But Once dey go to University and come back, comparisons and foolish pride sets in.

I have a better Iphone, Apartment, BF, Sugar daddy, Yanch, Boobs.etc pass Loveth, so i dont need her again!

Forget these explanations!

The reason is dat during Secondary school friendships, we are mostly innocent, humble and natural. Nobody is 'forming'.

Later in life, if humility remains, the friendship will continue. But if Pride creeps in (which is common with ladies), The friendship will crash!

My elder brother has maintained his Sec sch friends since 1998 till date!
