There are 3 reasons why I suspect my boss,no one the first month I started work a friend of mine told me that he doesn't like my boss,that he looks diabolic to him I laugh and told him to stop being too supersticous because I don't believe such things he told me his instincts don't disappoint him.
Secondly there was a day I borrowed money from my boss I told him I want to buy some stuff that I am broke at the moment ,since I have worked half of the month I need a little change from my salary I only requested 10k,after thinking hard for about 10 minutes he gave me the money,actually I wanted to use the money to pay a loan app I was owing so I payed 5k and kept the remaining 5k to get a t-shirt the following day ,I put the money inside my deep pocket and went to work in the morning even when I was on the road I check my pocket and the money was there,did you know immediately I got to my shop I swept the floor of my shop and tidied the whole place,as I was about to leave for the market to my surprise I deep my hand inside my pocket and the money was gone,I searched evety nook and cranny of the shop i didn't see the money,I just laughed and shook my head.

Thirdly, there are two workers my boss just employed because we have up to three branches in my area,one is a girl and one is a boy,the girl seem to like me dlso much she always like telling me how the work is going for her she usually tells me about every issue she has with my boss, did you know this girl has lost up to 20k in the pos money in just one month of work?..
One day I went to our head office to check our debt book because we always have a book we all money we borrowed from boss plus or shortages are recorded did you know this two new workers have lost more than their salaries,I went through the boys record I saw ,5k,3k,4k etc there is no day this guy doesn't loose money I usually blame myself for all my mistakes until I saw that I am not the only one.now the girl has stopped work.

Pls nairalanders,I am tired of working for people I want to quit start up my own biz but capital is the problem if I can get up to 100k between now till May I will start up my own biz ,can someone just help me with a good idea on how to make money online because I don't always lack data here in the office you contributions will be appreciated thanks .

Infact I pray he starts his own POS and when he meets the challenges of POS business where one unlucky person can lose up to 20k-50k in one single transaction and regular 1k-5k losses,he would realize how tough it is.
By then his type would now turn it to the area he is doing his business,that he is suspecting the previous owner of the shop of being diabolical or even stretch it to the landlord of the place he rented,that previous owners told him they were making losses when they too were there.
This is the way these kinds of people reason.
If his paranoia becomes extreme,he may even start attributing it to one family member that he had not seen for sometime,but as soon as that person visited him in his place of business,he started losing money.
Mindset of someone fixated on finding someone to blame for challenges than facing the reality that such exist and happen to every normal working person or businessman without it having any spiritual or man made cause.

What type of machine do you use?
What are the issues associated with your work place?
How do you handle/know overpayment to customers?
Are you experienced in cash handling ( like bn an ex teller?

If your boss is diabolical, he will rather do better juju to be taking customers money since it can't be traced to him and not those amounts you stating up there.

Just be more diligent.

Op, your boss is not the problem but your inability to stay focused and at alert during transactions.

From experience, pos operators overpay or underpay when they are excited while attending to customers, especially when they have many customers to attend to at the same time. Some pos customers who engage in pos scam leverage on this to cheat operators.

From today, stay focused and less excited even when you have the whole town queueing in front of your stand waiting to be attended to.
Before you release cash to any customer, count it more than three time to be sure .

Some customers intentionally put you into a state of confusion or tension to get overpayment from you.

Some still go back to their banks to fill forms as in declined transactions, even when the transactions has been approved and cash given to them.....

So your boss has powers to make money disappear from people's pockets and he's doing POS business? Even if he had such power, won't he do that with his customers who withdraw higher amounts instead, rather than removing ordinary 5k?
You're deluded. Report the issue to your boss or be more careful next time.

You are obviously the kind of person that blames everything on others. You need to grow up and take responsibility. Your boss is not responsible for your carelessness and incompetence. Get the money from your boss in the morning. Go to your bank and deposit the money. After that use the ATM to withdraw the money. If it gets missing again then check yourself.

I think you are only careless. Do your account at different interval(like three hours interval) everyday. By doing so, you will likely get to know when the cash is missing. Also, if you can afford to buy a crossing bag to pack your own cash, do so. Finally, always pack your in 10ks of 50ks and always do the account when you have spent like 100ks so that you will know whenever a cash is missing and you can easily trace it. I have been doing POS business for almost 2years now and I have never recorded anything like money disappearing.

First things first, This is a computerized accounting, you print the End of day on the Pos after the days work, let me advice you, always calculate both the End if day and also calculate the slips one at a time, who knows yahoo boys or someone ur boss sent could be reprinting ur previous transactions and you pay them the cash. Secondly there was a day I borrowed money from my boss I told him I want to buy some stuff that I am broke at the moment ,since I have worked half of the month I need a little change from my salary I only requested 10k,after thinking hard for about 10 minutes he gave me the money,actually I wanted to use the money to pay a loan app I was owing so I payed 5k and kept the remaining 5k to get a t-shirt the following day ,I put the money inside my deep pocket and went to work in the morning even when I was on the road I check my pocket and the money was there,did you know immediately I got to my shop I swept the floor of my shop and tidied the whole place,as I was about to leave for the market to my surprise I deep my hand inside my pocket and the money was gone,I searched evety nook and cranny of the shop i didn't see the money,I just laughed and shook my head.

Thirdly, there are two workers my boss just employed because we have up to three branches in my area,one is a girl and one is a boy,the girl seem to like me dlso much she always like telling me how the work is going for her she usually tells me about every issue she has with my boss, did you know this girl has lost up to 20k in the pos money in just one month of work?..
One day I went to our head office to check our debt book because we always have a book we all money we borrowed from boss plus or shortages are recorded did you know this two new workers have lost more than their salaries,I went through the boys record I saw ,5k,3k,4k etc there is no day this guy doesn't loose money I usually blame myself for all my mistakes until I saw that I am not the only one.now the girl has stopped work.

Pls nairalanders,I am tired of working for people I want to quit start up my own biz but capital is the problem if I can get up to 100k between now till May I will start up my own biz ,can someone just help me with a good idea on how to make money online because I don't always lack data here in the office you contributions will be appreciated thanks .

get a book for writing down your transactions.
before you start your daily work write down the amount you have in your hand (cash) and the one in your pos account.
make sure your know how much your merchant charges you for each transaction.
always check your balance after every transaction and write down the available balance in the account and the available cash in hand, inside the book.
make sure you count money very well before giving it to your customers.

if after you do these things and you still no know how the money dey loss, My brother RUN!!!

Op, your boss is not the problem but your inability to stay focused and at alert during transactions.

From experience, pos operators overpay or underpay when they are excited while attending to customers, especially when they have many customers to attend to at the same time. Some pos customers who engage in pos scam leverage on this to cheat operators.

From today, stay focused and less excited even when you have the whole town queueing in front of your stand waiting to be attended to.
Before you release cash to any customer, count it more than three time to be sure .

Some customers intentionally put you into a state of confusion or tension to get overpayment from you.

Some still go back to their banks to fill forms as in declined transactions, even when the transactions has been approved and cash given to them.....

If this is true, then POS business is not secure. I am saying this based on your last paragraph.
