People reflect on marital vows when considering divorce... forgetting that marital vows are words coined by a human named THOMAS CRANMER. It makes no sense why a person will bind themselves in a toxic marriage when they are in pain and misery. People make mistakes, and I don't believe people should consider living with their mistakes especially if they have the option of correcting it. Why will you put up with the infuriating excesses of a spouse because of the kids or because of marital vows and promises. The first thing you must consider in any marriage above everything else is... 1. Your mental health and general well being 2. Your life. Any marriage that threaten your happiness, sanity or life should be abandoned through divorce. All you need is a resounding conviction that divorcing a spouse is the best choice you'll make. If your marriage is not working... Work at saving it. Divorce should be the least and last of all the available options. Marriage is hard work of commitments... Not always a jolly ride |
