Hi,

1. Normally, school application guides advise you pick Yes if she is transferring or have already completed the program, otherwise she should select No.
But if she has a transcript to show for the first semester courses, you can pick Yes.

2. I don't think the birth certificates of her siblings is necessary. You, as her parent, is currently in Nigeria (I believe), thus you are enough for hometimes.

3. Her extensive travel history is a plus. Attach the visa pages and weave an explanation into her LOE that she had always returned to her home country whenever she traveled.

Well posted!

Thank you so much for your reply. Appreciate

Thanks but i submitted my CAC along with my ID card so i was confused to see when the VO stated proof of business ownership not provided...
What do you think i can do right now cos it looks like the VO just wanted to refuse my application....

Toceenay:

Your pre assessment note has shown where the issue is... You didn't submit evidence of business ownership as a self sponsor, so the VO was not convinced that the money would be available.

It seems your program is a year, and with 30k CAD you mentioned, it should be reasonably enough for tuition and living expenses, although the more, the better, but you need to submit documents to show that your business and source of income is legit, as a self-sponsor. After that, right a well detailed LOE explaining how you run your business and use it even as a home tie to show you'll come back home. Every info about your business should be backup with documents.

They have concerns and rightfully so as you didn't provide proof of business ownership.i don't think there's anything cryptic there again and your assessment confimed that as the officer said he/she has concerns with your source of funds. Although the assessment is broiler-plate. It's kind of valid as you actually didn't submit your CAC

I did, i submitted my company CAC along with my ID card so i was confused to see when the VO stated proof of business ownership not provided...
What do you think i can do right now cos it looks like the VO just wanted to refuse my application...

I want to reapply any advise on what to do ?

I have an issue and would appreciate input. So my dad runs a company and gets paid based on contracts and also if he gets companies to work with. His tax receipt shows he earns an annual income of 1m something but he earns way way more than that. Now I’m skeptical about adding the tax receipt because I don’t want to shoot my self in the leg I.e I don’t want the vos to think like that how is his annual income is 1m something and he’s able to to fund my study. Please should I go ahead and add the tax receipt or just not add it so I don’t shoot my self in the leg. I have his cac registration already

My layover in Paris was really long but it was nice too. When I was boarding they asked for my passport and my letter it introduction I think. Either that or the PPR letter you get when approve your visa and that was it. I’ll let you guys know what’s happening at the border in Canada. If inside plane cold like this I wonder wetin outside go be like.

I applied and paid my application fee on Jan 18th, after that I got a mail that they'll ask an agent to get in touch with me (as per say applicant from Nigeria) within 10 working days. After about 20 working days one Nigeria agent called, it was even on Sunday morning and said "are you Mr so so, you applied to NSCC" I answered and she said they'll get in touch with me if they need anything. Since then, nothing. I was just wondering, how will they call on Sunday, they didn't even ask for my credentials, transcripts etc.

The truth is if I had known that is their style of application, I won't even bother applying. I sent a mail to them last week asking for what's next, no response till now.
I applied yesterday and I was surprised they didn't ask for any credentials, I haven't even seen the mail about an agent. They only sent a mail that they have received my application and reviewing it. Later sent another mail containing my student ID and password to log in and track my application
Thank you for responding.

I applied to Fanshawe last year using an agent. Though they offered to help with my visa application but it was optional.
Anon123:

Awesome...

Did you apply to Fanshawe using an agent?

If yes, did the agent claim he/she is to handle your visa application as well?

Your reply will help someone here thats about to be scammed.

The IRCC may want to see money/earnings transferred from your business account to your personal account. If you are using personal account for business then show invoice or receipts to explain your inflow and outflow.

Hi Everyone,

Please does anyone know anything about upkeep allowance whereby you buy 4000 dollars at CBN rate which will be paid into your foreign bank account ? If yes, please what’s the requirement ?

What you refer to as upkeep allowance is called Personal Travel Allowance (PTA). To access it you must have your visa and also two way flight ticket.Fund your Naira account and apply through your bank for PTA.

@makano,Boss I have similar experience, in my case the fund from sponsor was deposited into my dorm acct, I withdrew, exchanged via blackmarket and paid my tuition. Will I have to print a statement of my Dom account showing the transaction since that is not the account I am using for my POF,? Or would it have been best if sponsor sent directly into the account I'd be using for POF (naira account)
makano:
Hello Iyke

You didn't state who is your main sponsor and Co-sponsor, but with your write up, I wanna assume your sibling is your main sponsor and your maternal Uncle's wife is your Co-sponsor...

Now, the deed gift is very important and the money can be sent to your account and let it be clearly stated in your documents what that amount is meant for i.e Tuition fees, Living expenses e.t.c. Make sure your Sponsor states this in his or her Letter of sponsorship, that a particular amount has been sent to the applicant's account purposely for the tuition or living expenses as the case may be, make sure the particular amount is mentioned and if necessary the date of the transaction, this will eliminate the concerns of lump sum..

You should also reciprocate this in your Proof of funds/Finance section in your SOP, also draw their attention to the gift deed.. Make sure you both are well detailed in your explanation..

I hope this helps..

Peace

Please guys, is it possible to book a return flight so I can apply for PTA. Then after collecting the PTA, I’ll cancel the return flight and collect full or partial refund from Ethiopia airlines?

I don't think it can be longer than 8 hours, mine was 8. Charles De Gaulle International Airport has open wifi so I whiled away the time making whatsapp calls.

And it's still very cold here in Canada although there hasn't been snow in some days so prepare for when you step out of the Airport Terminal.

Some VO don't take time to study applications well. I'm surprised such could appear in your assessment note despite adding it.

Personally, I can only suggest you create a segment in your LOE to explain it extensively. Point out that your business is registered and legit. You should also add the forms you submitted to CAC when registering your business, that form should have your name as the business owner, with CAC stamp. Also, add recent receipts of sales as it appears in your account statement as well. Let the amount on the receipt tally with each credit alert in your bank statement. Point it out in your LOE how the business will still continue while you're studying. (depending on the type of business)

Those are two different things. What she's talking about is allowance students abroad are entitled to,it's different from PTA

Exactly, I had to wait a year before I got admission because I was on the waitlist. I had to apply to another school and when the admission finally came,I rejected it.

When the agent speaks with you,it would take like 3 to 4 weeks before you get a final decision on your admission. Based on my own experience
Toceen2022:

I did everything, and paid. I got a payment receipt that shows they received the application fee. It was after that they started the story of referring me to an agent.
