I didn’t understand her behavior until the day I was flipping through my diary where I read that I had quarreled with her.

Please, I need help! My mum complains a lot about my behavior! Do I have a medical condition?

This problem is so bad that I had to buy a bracelet that connects my phone to my hand because I have lost count of how many times my phone slipped out of my hands.
If not for the sound that my phone makes when it hits the floor, I never would have known that it slipped off my hands.

I doubt if there is any cure for it. Mine is different from yours. I forget faces of people that I meet. As in, it takes approximately less than 2 minutes for me to forget. I forget daily events, I forget where I drop things. It can be embarrassing especially when I tell peoples I don't remember meeting them. Most times I just smile and pretend as if I remember who the person is.

I don't believe I am a dullard cos I graduated with a distinction. It baffles me why I can't store basic images and details in my head for long.

Now I have learnt to live with it. I don't grumple or feel depressed anymore when people complain about it. I have accepted who I am

Today, my phone died while I was pressing it. It being more than 2 days we had light. I left it on the sofa in the parlour and engaged myself with other activities. I remembered i moved it after a while from the sofa to another place.

After 2 solid hrs, I couldn't remember the new place I left my phone. I live in a 4bedroom flat.

You are just like my brother, wow, my brother forget where he drops key, and he will always get his phone broken by dropping the phone on place he will forget, he does not remember where he keep things even when he say that is where I put it.. I would be like why don't you give me to keep the stuff for you, but he is very brilliant And creative but the problem is just the power to remember like to memorize things for tomorrow.. and he will always ask me, where he keep things, so I really understand what you are going through, but what I told my brother that is helping him is what I will tell you too, try to cool down, and try as much as possible to empty your mind for time to time like if you have like 5 things to do a day just try to do one yeah don't hurry to finish all the task, and don't let anyone hurry you, and when you keep things don't look away look at the stuff that you keep and say to your self this is where I keep this thing, when you program your mind like that then you are 1 percent to remember where you out that particular thing.. and just try to remember something before you get up from the bed, when you wake up in the morning, don't just hurry out, find a way to remember things of yesterday and the day after, don't hurry just try even if you remember two events just use that imagination to go through the day and you will see how great you will be doing on that day... The mind is a very complex virtual space so you have to explore different memory enhancement techniques to understand and train your mind to remember things. First off, make conscious effort to keep track of the kind of things that you mostly forget and those that you recall effortlessly. You might see a pattern in the kind of information that fails to stick. We tend to recall things that are meaningful/important to us and that have an emotional connection. You can practice writing things down, that way it reinforces the memory and aids in consolidating the thought after you review the notes.
Think through things you want to recall and repeat them mentally. If you can remember academic material needed to excel in school as you have alluded to, then your condition isn't medical. You just need to train your memory and use some well know techniques that are available online. Do a Google search and you should find a lot of resources on this subject.
