Before the Miui 13 update, on 3-4 occasions my own goes off on it's own, i press the power button and any of the volume keys before it comes back on. After the update, I haven't experienced the tripping off but it has hanged like 2 times, i still apply the same power and volume key solution.

It's 8GB physical/onboard ram and an additional 3GB Ram via memory extension which the 3GB will be allocated from your phone internal storage...

This update has been the best for me so far. Alot of minor bug fixes and my software is alot more stable. Less glitches and lags and heavy games play well and interact well with other apps. There are also new software features like the gallery and game turbo. I'm still looking out for changes

as long as you have been able to reboot your device without issues, i believe you are good to go, the deadboot has no connection to updates, it's all about inability to boot up after rebooting.
If you look at the screenshot down there, you will see the updates which i have already updated without isuess.

Note that this is not the first time, I have been updating the phone since i helped her buy it

Nawa o. I'm yet to update mine. Maybe I should do that and see if the problem will continue or stop.
