"Alhassan has a long way to prove his quality". So please tell me which "quality" midfield backups do we have available?

komekn:

Look at Dessers goals this season , he had been a sub all season and scored 4 goals it's not good enough.

Akpoguma is not better than Calvin and Alhasssan has a long way to go to prove his quality.

The funny thing is Tom Dele Bashiru, Ejaria are not stand out regulars this season. I can't think of any midfielder in the UK lower leagues that is doing well besides Billing (not available to us). So I am really wondering the direction he will go with this. An unfit Etebo?

Philosopher1979:

Alhassan Yusuf does not have a long way to go. He is doing very well for Royal Antwerp and has 2 man of the match awards. The Belgian league is rated higher than the Scottish league and yet you rate players in rangers such as Calvin basset above him.
I repeat Alhassan Yusuf deserves to be in our midfield. In 2020 he was rated as one of the best ball distributors under the age of 21.
It's ridiculous he is not in the team

I knew it when I saw Onazi.. AND SHEHU
chrisooblog:
Just listening to twitter space with Colin Udoh about the squad for the WcQ.

Claims some sources in the NFF told him three of the players in the squad were probably chosen without the coaches really asking for them.

Also claims "Jibola" was selected by the higher ups for the AFCON not really Equavoen.

Are you Amokachi's father to know he was not a teenager.

I have told you before but because of your deep bias, you hide from the truth.

When Westerhoff invited Amokachi to the camp, he told Westerhoff that he was a small boy. Westerhoff had to convince him that he can do well in the camp.

Is that the mentality of someone who is not a teenager?

Whether it pains you or not, Amokachi was sixteen and his reaction to the invitation camp shows this. A player at 18 would jump at the opportunity. Amokachi did not want to go because he was too small.

Do you personally know Amokachi?

Akpoguma is not outstanding in his league on the other hand Calvin is outstanding in both club , Scottish premier and in the Euro Champions league.

No contradiction just FACTS
Akpoguma has been above average at Hoffenheim and for the SE, he also plays at a higher level than Omeruo and Ajayi yet both were called up.
You also failed to note the the SE defence is ageing. Balogun is 34, Omeruo, Ekong and Ajayi are all turning 29 soon with no new CBs in the frame as potential long term replacements for them.

What makes Akpoguma better than Ajayi ❓l will concede with regards to Omeruo but Balogun I'm not sure and definitely not better than Calvin.

First of all let's not bring age into the equation in the context of African football it's mostly academic.

You made a FALSE claim, the Scottish premier League is rated higher than the Belgium league.

Madrid is a brutal club they even booed Ronaldo one time despite his records. They have no patience for out of form strikers and can destroy a player confidence if they’re underperforming. Personally, he should stay at Napoli for a whole season and score like 20/25 goals before thinking of leaving. He is still a young striker.

As far as your ekuke football analysis is concerned akpoguma is far far better than ajayi who plays for a lowly championship

Akpoguma is far far far far better than Calvin bassey who plays for the Scottish league that’s not up to the championship level

Not too long ago Ajayi was playing in the EPL.

Now consider how many players leave the championship to the very top clubs in the Bundesliga.

Akpoguma will not get into any EPL team as it stands.

A good season in the Championship and your in the top 5 leagues in Europe.

Baba stick to your ekuke football judgement on this one

You must be silly for saying akpoguma won’t get into any epl team

I am sure when Salisu was playing for real Valladolid you would have said he won’t get into any championship team let alone an epl ,I am sure you know he is far better than those your championship defenders you do hype here

Akpoguma won’t get into any epl team is the most stupid thing I have heard for the past 8 days

A good season in the championship and you are in the top 5 league in Europe ,what happened to Dominic iorfa ? The list is even endless

You are big Clown Man

Yes he does , but he is not outstanding in the league. He has made the bench three times in the last four games and played once as a substitute.

Is that your definition of outstanding player in league and club. If Ajayi was in the 1899 Hoffenheim he will bench him.

Absolutely no EPL team will take him and that leaves the Championship

Would you say he is better than Tosin Adarabioyo in Fulham. I would say categorically without any restraint Fulham FC in the Championship is way better on all fronts than 1899 Hoffenheim. Therefore he will not get into Fulham.

Ajayi and his mates where not good enough for EPL reason why they head back to the championship

Ajayi has not started all west brom games this season also

And yes akpoguma is better than adarabioyo

If you are talking about tomori we would understand

Agreed without question.

But the context of discussion is Ajayi and Akpoguma and my submission is Ajayi is better. In addition Akpoguma is almost anonymous in the Bundesliga he will not get into any EPL team .

And he will not get into any top Championship team and his team although in the Bundesliga is not better that quite a few Championship sides.
