Some people would choose living in a 150k apartment that's closer to their work than a 80k apartment that's far from their workplace.

You have point but I have learnt to cut my coat according to my size. There are still very decent house for 120k on the mainland.

Living in my own house but if I am to pay for for rent in same house house same area, it will cost me half of my one month salary to pay for a year rent, which am sure will not be more that 250k

Abuja 200-250 depending on the areas Jabi amd Lugbe you MAY see

Lagos 120-150 Ayobo, Ipaja, Ajah, Ebutte metta, Bariga

Ogun 80-100 Ijebu-Ode, Sango, Oju Ore

You can decide to pay 120k as rent but transportation to the office will run into thousands monthly. There are people that pay such and their daily fare to work in this lagos is in the region of 1k. By the time you do the sum for a month, and then for the year, you will know you are being pennywise pound foolish. You haven't even added the stress and traffic jam to and fro the office.
