Bank transfer and torn cloth doesn’t proof anything. He could have transferred 3k to her for any reason which could involve over one thousand and one business transactions.
Anything could have torn her clothes. What if this is whole story is just a set up.
I hope u understand My point. The real killers could be out there trying to nail an innocent man with an easy catch while they work Free. And yes he could be guilty but don’t forget there are many wrongly accused that have been convicted for crimes they did not commit

This is why it is always good to report cases of sexual assault whether you believe nothing will come of it. That guy has been escalating gradually and Bamise would be alive today if someone had put a spotlight on his activities then! I don’t think this guy is the only BRT driver involved in things like this, but he’ll do nicely as a scape goat. A lot of rape incidents would be drastically reduced if only the Nass will give Nigerians the right to protect themselves.

I see them trying to deflect the issue of ritual and his possible collaborators. This is an attempt to make it look like a serial rapist and that bamise could have died in the process of rape.

How are we not sure this lady is one of those he had transactions with in the past? Somebody raped you like that and you know he works with a well known organization, he has sent you money, you can identify him even with the lights switched off..

She could even be one of those people aboard the bus that bamise spoke about.

This case would be difficult to prove in a law court. No police report and no medical report. A torn cloth does not prove anything. The man can as well claim he paid her the N3000 for consensual sex after negotiations.

As per the case of the murder of Oluwabamise Ayankole, there would be evidence all over the bus. There would be DNA evidence and finger print evidence. There would even be blood evidence. The blood stains from the cutting of the organ would still be in the bus. (Even if it was cleaned, it can still be visible in uv light after treatment with luminol.

If Nigerian police are actually trained to investigate and detect crime, instead of protecting politicians and collecting bribe, this would be a very easy case.

If the police are serious it is really easy. The man is a serial rapist. A local area boy type. He probably pays that money so he can claim the victim is ashewo.

So go through his account. One off payments to women. Call and interview each of them. And you have your pattern.

BRT is culpable in this. If they regularly test their drivers for drugs etal, all this would have come out

to the best of my knowledge, they have issued no statement whatsoever

and they seem to be covering for their employee - prepping him on what to say in public,

It is getting established beyond reasonable doubt that he is indeed a serial rapist who uses the tools of his work (BRT bus) for his crimes. The fact that he got away with previous ones including that of this november evidence (which most likely wasn't his first) was the reason he continued in it.

Ordinarily, public buses including truckers always have cameras installed to monitor the driver especially and also the entire spaces in the bus. Just one camera is enough to pan the whole interior of the bus and the cameras are usually installed at the side of the front passenger of the bus so that it pictures the driver and the whole areas behind him to the rear of the interior.

But no, Nigeria matter na always half cooked. At the end, a life has now been lost and most likely this issue of camera will still not be considered until another similar incident happens again.

I kept thinking why this was not done. It has to be a night vision camera. BRT can actually do better. Lagos state government is still far ahead of many Nigerian states despite this shortcomings. We need to encourage Lagos state government to do better. Please protect Lagos infrastructures if you throughly love Lagos. Eko o ni baje o.

The impunity and effontery by government workers in Nigeria is alarming. Even the civil servants are the worst. We are talking about police brutality today but many people don't take cognizant of crimes at every level of government in Nigeria. In fact, if any Nigerian government official is killed by an unknown person, don't ever pity him because you don't what crime he had committed to have provoked that attack. Everything will look normal in this country until it gets to the government. Just imagine the gut that would have made this man to turn an official commercial bus like BRT into a rape haven. Because everybody is doing what they like in Nigerian government: no accountability, due process, official protocol or any disciplinary process

A driver driving government owned transport was involved, bus isn't never a living thing that can be found guilty.

Why do the police confiscate household items in the course of an investigation? I mean items like knives, phones and sim cards.

Have you heard of the words, complicit, accomplice and Negligence? If a company's staff commits a crime that involves the company property and in this case, the crime was committed repeatedly, don't you think the company has an explanation to give?

BRT service is exclusively owned by Lagos government, the Lagos government being the owner and employer of the driver(s) for christ's sake should suspend all activities, do a proper background check, install CCTV in all buses and ensure that the driver's accomplices be arrested and prosecuted, but if you still believe that the bus oo, the government oo and others involved in the running of the bus service has no question to answer, then it's ok!

-call records

-friends & associates
-his lifestyle (if within his income)
& few other interrogations to establish his extent of culpability in the murder. Shouldn't be that difficult.

If they want to get the truth they can, if they check his account statement and list all the random 2k, 3k sent to women, they trace the women up and ask them questions but police will not do that.
