Your design is amazing.
But consider using smaller transformer next time for the sake of high current. Big transformer means small current, yes it gives 5v volt but how about the current? This might take longer to charge than normal chargers because of the size of the transformer. Your phone draws more current.

una too dey make mouth he tried oga..in a country that produces norhing..if u where that perfect y have u not gone into production..or u know like money..i know someone who builds his own inverters from scratch...in edo..last month he acquired a land worth 30m which he built his company..people prefer his own cuz he used nigeria standard and fuuny enough it is steonger than the imported ones..we head that he has started exportation..he tried oga but he needs to improve cuz that stuff is not marketable..too big and rough

Components used for this project includes
.
1) 240v (9-0-9) transformer
2) 4 Diodes (no unit)
3) 1k/25v capacitor
4) 7805 transistor (regulator)
5) 0.1/25v capacitor
6) light emitting diodes (led)
7) USB port
a connection board
.
I first of all connected my four diodes in series, then my 1k/25v capacitor followed by transistor, 0.1/25v capacitor, light emitting diodes, USB port then my 240v transformer on the connection board, I read it with my meter and it gave me exactly 5v.
