I have hisence inverter 2hp, but after a while , the outside one trips for , thereby disturbs the chilling. But at midnight it dsnt stop, they said I should support it with 5000 watts stabilizer that if I connect the stab, it will improve the chilling effect cos the power will boost up. I only use it at midnight wen voltage is a bit high

Those brands you mentioned will still work but long term durability isn't guaranteed. The best brand of AC is Panasonic even though expensive, you won't regret it.

hi, quick update. I called another service person and he came this morning. He opened a small place by the side of the outdoor unit and noticed some oils on the pipe. He said there's a leak but he'll be back in the evening to ch CK it and fix it. Meanwhile the other two tech guys were insisting previously that there's no leak and if there was, the hose won't drip water like it's doing right now, the pipe will be have frost and the AC won't cool one bit.

As long as there's an oil spill on the AC pipe, then that's an obvious leak. It may not be much but there's an escape of freon from there which must be addressed. Yes, water will still drip under such condition because the leak isn't severe to trigger compressor tripping on & off or the pipe freezing.

Let that be addressed and top up freon. Note again that the chilling effect of AC can also be subject to the weather conditions. If the weather is extremely hot, chilling won't be really felt like when it's not that way.

But follow up and keep updating the progress.

For Gencool, the Air conditioner can operate at a lower power level while for the Dualcool, the compressor constantly adjusts the speed to maintain desired temperature levels. This is to save energy and ensures satisfactory cooling.

I always hated inverter ACs but after your posts, I am getting a 2HP Panasonic inverter AC with copper coils.

My first AC was a Panasonic, the experience was out of this world.

My second AC was an LG, the Panasonic was better.

My third will be a Panasonic and going forward, I will stick to Panasonic.

Good morning. Please rescue me before I run mad from frustration.

I use an LG Dual inverter AC. 1HP. Purchased brand new sometime in 2019. I recently serviced the AC but after the service, the AC keeps tripping off automatically hourly.

To switch it on again, I have to restart the stabilizer, and then switch it on from the remote. I also noticed that 5-10 seconds before it trips off, the GEN MODE indicator on the indoor unit starts to blink. I have done everything I could think of. I have reset the remote, ensured it's not on timer, ensured the voltage is adequate and even contacted LG Africa directly but they advised to call on LG technician in my area. Now the funny thing is all the technicians I have called are all clueless about this issue. They all keep fumbling with remote, insisting it's timer even after the remote has been reset. I have googled it too but I'm not just seeing solutions. Biko help me. Having to restart it hourly from stabilizer/switch disrupts a lot for me. Thank you.

How was it serviced? From your explanation, i guess water may have affected the panel during service and that may most likely be the culprit. Let the AC technician investigate this and update on the outcome. There's no problem without a solution, it only becomes a problem when there's no solution.

Thanks for your response.

This particular servicing, the technicians brought down the entire outdoor unit, took it to the tap and washed with omo and water. I didn't investigate the washing. Then on the indoor unit, he brought out the filters and cleaned them. Then he used a tooth brush to brush some things inside the indoor unit.

The problem is no technician seems to know the cause of the problem including the guy that serviced the AC. He keeps doing trial and error with remote even after I have explained a billion times that it can't be from the remote. He then suggested that we should change panel. How do you change panel when you aren't even sure it's the panel. Then he said board. He's always confused. The other technicians I called are even more confused.

It has nothing to do with the remote. It's a power issue which is a Panel problem because that's what controls the entire indoor unit. An expert must remove the panel, take it for repairs (if it can be repaired) OR replace the panel entirely and you won't suffer that again.

But I'm most likely sure it can be repaired.

Okay. But now, these technicians I have been meeting are all confused. Let me google on how to recognise spoilt panels so when they come again, at least one of us will be informed. I will update. Any idea the cost of panel? Thanks again.

When I bought my hisense inverter AC. It took about 3-4 days before it started cooling properly. I almost gave up thinking I bought a fake, I bought from fouani. I even thought the installer didn't do a good job too.

Currently I'm enjoying it.

Maybe that's the way hisense ACs function. It takes days before the real cooling starts

thank you for taking time to explain. The guy came this morning and finished at about past 8. The cooling has improved and he said I should monitor it for 8 hours then let him know. That's what I'm doing right now. I'll revert here whatever the case. Thanks again.

@sacramento1212 the AC cools well now. It was a leak. I have one question though. Are the two pipes supposed to be cold equally or just one will be super cold and the other one averagely cold? Because both are cold after he fixed the leak.
