jerflakes:That is one of the lacunas in our Constitution. - how much are the Governors supposed to spend on Security Votes- is it per % of the yearly budget of the State or why are former Governors and those who have benefitted, especially in the National Assembly and still benefitting in conspiracy of silence? - they all pretend as if nothing can be done to correct the abnormalities! -most of the funds that have been stolen by Politicians are now used directly or indirectly to fight dirty in the political arena and that is the irony of Nigeria situation! - |

No need to color corruption cases with ethnicity. Below are few examples of Nigerians either jailed, convicted or who were investigated and stood trial for corruption cases. The list is not skewed to any particular region; 1. James Bala Ngilari - former Adamawa gov (jailed) 2. Joshua Dariye - former Plateau gov (jailed) 3. Jolly Nyame - former Taraba gov (jailed) 4. James Ibori - former Delta gov (jailed) 5. Orji Uzor Kalu - former Abia gov (convicted) 6. Lucky Igbinedion - former Edo gov (convicted) 7. Late Diepiere Alams - Bayelsa (convicted) 8. Ibrahim Magu - efcc chair (convicted) 9. Abdulrasheed Maina - Pencom (jailed) 10. Mukhtar Yero - former Kaduna gov (convicted) 11. Jonah Jang - former Plateau gov (convicted) 12. Sule Lamido and 2 sons - former Jigawa gov (convicted) 13. Senator Bala Muhammed - former minister (convicted) 14. Sambo Dasuki - former NSA (jailed) 15. Ayo Fayose - former Ekiti gov (tried) 16. Bode George - jailed 17. Tafa Balogun - former IG (jailed) 18. Nwaobosi, Olisa Metuh, FFK, hundreds more all tried, many convicted and jailed The list is endless, just typed the ones that came to my mind. So rather than play the ethnic card, let us join hands to expose all corrupt persons and rid our land of those cankerworms that are as bad if not worse than terrorists, kidnappers, yahoo yahoo and those other terrible crimes |

MadamVanessa:Some of you guys are dumb, very dumb. Why defend a politician who for once dont care if you die or not. In fact they deny you guys whats meant for you, put you in poverty, deprive you good living, sometimes order police to shoot you dead if you protest against them. But at the slightest mistakes they are paying for their evil, or they go through bad you start showing pity for them... and stupidly defend them. What a dumb generation. Tufiakwa This guy was flying back to America to enjoy life why they ruin you guys, your states and country and all theirs kids are abroad too enjoying good government. When he was destroying the youths by stealing what was meant to give them a future, why didnt he remember those youths were his fellow igbo brothers and sisters? |

MadamVanessa:Whataboutism will kill Nigerians laslas. Look how simplistic this one analysed the matter. So if thief A steals and he's not dealt with, we should just let thief B go because thief A's crime excuses thief B's abi? You see why people say we deserve the leaders that we get? It's his kind who wants war on Ukraine because the US also invaded Iraq, forgetting that he's from a third world country with little or no military might to counter aggression from an equally powerful nation as Russia. Monkey! |

It's the man they don't like that they would want to use as an escape goat! Most of the past Nigerian governors, if not all, are guilty of this. I have never seen any past governors being querried for security vote money! The past lawmakers have never been querried before about the constituency money and how they spent it! The obvious bullion van case, died out! The gandollar scam died out! To mention but a few! Over the years, politicians stole billions of state's money and run and joined the ruling party and their sins are forgiven and cases die out! Let the justice go round, that's where I stand! Stop this double standard and tribalism, religious and ethnic cleansing! |

MadamVanessa:Tinubu is walking free because he was docked for corruption by Jonathan( maybe you were still young and sucking titties then) and was not found guilty. Stop the ranting, if Obiano is innocent, he will be out in no time, but if he is guilty, your ranting will not be of any benefit. He will eat watery beans in kuje like Nnamdi Kanu. But honestly can't understand the obsession of Igbos with Tinubu. A governor is accused of stealing funds, and your worry is Tinubu, for heaven's sake who did this to you people? |
| Re: EFCC Detectives Quiz Obiano Over ₦5b Sure-P, ₦37b Security Votes Spending by Penywise(m): 9:51am On Mar 19, 2022 |
MadamVanessa:I am Igbo and it's good as they arrested him. Igbo's don't like helping themselves. Have you been to the north lately to see the level of infrastructural development there? Have you visited Kano or Kaduna lately? You'll even see plenty igbos doing businesses there. How many Hausa owned companies will you see in the east or south. If these governor's make here favorable for business, I'm sure indigenes will invest. Roads are bad, infrastructure is bad, ease of doing business is very poor. Every youth from east wants to migrate to Abuja or Lagos after school to help develop another man's land. But hausa's and Yorubas stay in theirs and develop it. The governors in the south east always want a percentage ownership from investors that want to invest in the east. This trend needs to stop. Let us help ourselves. |

Karemarealty288:Nwannem, may God bless you richly for this. Can't believe somebody will be defending someone who is alleged to have stolen 42 billions of igbo people's money just because the thief is Igbo. You don't see normal people comming to defend thieves just because they share same ethnicity with them |
