Hello.

Good morning.
But I read that if your class of degree is low you should go for a diploma program. Especially 2yr program if your intention is to remain.

Most pgd/pgc program I see are one year program. Can you please shed more light.

Thanks

Hi Debbydee,

If you have a low class or finished with a 2.2 or 3rd class, you can go still go for PGD/PGC, the issue there is, most PGC are one year program and if you forage your program search they are still PGD with 2years study duration.

That's exactly the same reason reason I am considering diploma. Although I have a 2.1. But most pgc and pgd courses I saw are one year program. I want to know if this will put me in trouble.
If you're going for diploma, it may be difficult to convince the VO, because diploma is lower than your first degree. But if you're avoiding PGD/PGC because it's usually 1 year program, here is what you can do.

Apply for a year PGD, by the time you're in your second term, put in another application for 1 year program. That'll make it 2 years of study and you'll be eligible for 2/3 years PGWP.

There are some advantages in doing it this way.
1. Your POF to show is only for a year, since you're going for a year program. The 2nd program, you would be in Canada, so applying for study permit extension, you won't need much POF.

2. During your break, you can work full time (e.g. First term = Sept - Dec. Second term = Jan - April. So from May - August, you can work full time and safe towards your second year that'll start by September)

Just consider your options and go for what ll benefit you. But you may be shooting yourself in the foot if it is diploma.

Thanks for your response. i posted the rejection letter.

Pls, has any one here gotten a TRV recently when applying from another country?

On this case, the applicant really needs a seasoned immigration expert. Canada never misses it. They have the history of the person's sojourn in Canada. So declare of previous travel history. Write a well detailed reason why the person contravened.

Hello. I had N7m in my account. I also showed my spouse account of about N5m. I had actually wanted to request less than $30k but had read information on the internet of MPower giving less than what the student requests. Didn’t think I would get the full amount but I did. Hope this helps

Please, what degree do you go for?

from what I’ve heard IOM is better as they send your medicals faster than qlife and also the next available spot in qlife is most likely June as April is filled up

Thanks for your response Armah. Please are they in Lagos? I think I only saw Abuja on CIC site

I used qlife. Went for medicals 31 jan and my medical status was updated on feb 18 that i passed. So i guess they are fast as well in processing unless maybe their availability could be a problem.

You can't use form A. You can open a Dom account then fund it with dollar from black market.
The transfer to the bank for GIC has to be from an account in your name.
I just concluded mine last week.

WiZiggy:
Please can one use form A to do GIC?

Hello house, is there a possibility of me getting a visa if I apply for a graduate diploma course? I am a pharmacist and I graduated about 12 years ago. I also need suggestions about in demand course to apply for. I will appreciate the response of experienced people in the house. Thank you.

Greetings to everyone here,

I need some clarification and I would appreciate your contribution(s).

For a fully-funded Masters program in Canada, how much do I need to present in my statement of account to file for my wife and 11-month old baby?

Can I apply with my family now or I should apply alone first and later file for them. Thank you in anticipation for your contributions.

Reach out to Anon123 for best advice on this.

One more thing. How many countries has he visited? Its not only Canada. There is something called "Info Sharing" in this visa application. Canada has the right to share info of any applicant with 5 countries and also has the right to request from them. This issue might be related to one of them.
