Are you sure you understand the English language? You are seeing lack of patriotism again and still saying that I moved my position.

Lack of patriotism means that all (both government officials and ordinary people) don't love the country.

They would rather steal to destroy your country for their selfish gains than make efforts to see it grow economically.

If you don't understand it with this simple explanation, there's nothing else I can say.
Read my first comment again and then edit this.
You just moved the goalpost again.

Below was my first comment. Kindly read it and read what you wrote and tell me how they are remotely related

Wrong. Tinubu is right in a way.

Without the government first GIVING to it's citizens and doing all they can to make them comfortable (in this case, the provision of steady electricity) then Patriotism would never come into play.

Patriotism comes as a result of what you have FIRST seen or experienced which you now want to adhere to as a Patriot or be patriotic to. It's like falling in love with a guy or girl because YOU FIRST saw the reason to.

Tinubu is right

Bro, you are part and parcel of the corruption. Can you wait 6 months for a Passport and not pay the bribe for "fast service" that produces your passport in a week or two?

Do you take your vehicle to VIO, to queue for an entire day, for all checks rather than pay 5k to have it passed as 'road worthy' so you can be on the road asap with all required documents and compliances?

We all live and breathe corruption. That is why I look at people like you as slightly strange and perhaps self-deceptive.

Westerners are pragmatic. They believe in chasing solutions to problems from a perspective of what is possible and what is not. They work with reality not fantasies.

They like Tinubu because they see he delivers and moves his constituencies and affiliations forward ( be it people, political party, State, region etal) working in an ultra-corrupt environment everyone, including you, play active parts in.

They realize pragmatically that Tinubu is the best available in a system defined entirely by corruption.

They are not like hypocritical Nigerians who deceive themselves and bury their head in the sand, while utilizing corruption daily as part of their life, to then be advocating we find one Saint in a cesspit of sinners.

Assuming you even make someone like Wole Soyinka President, is it not obvious to you such a person will fail horribly because of the inability to pragmatically navigate and get results from the Nigerian system where corruption is pervasive and an inextricable part of everything?

Many, like the West, passionately support Tinubu because they know he is a pragmatically brilliant leader whose success stems from his ability to work with on-ground reality to still deliver positive changes.
the same buhari gimmicks and postulations. Just look at where we are today. So because corruption runs deep then it is only the Father of corruption that has the capability to stir us out of it. This is out of 120 million people. We are not saying Tinubu doesn't have leadership ideas or skills, what we are saying he is not physically strong to stir the ship at the moment. He is running just to fulfil an ambition just like buhari.
Take for example, Electricity; what has he done, promoted to solve the energy crisis in Nigeria? India just bought pms from russia at discounted price. Can't we do the same?
Do you know that we cannot even meet our opec quota? The accountant general came out and said 107million litres of pms was stolen and buhari is no where to be found. He is in london. Do you think tinubu can do anything, no. Do you think tinubu would sell presidential jet to cut down cost no. One thing i know is that he would build roads in South west and give them jobs, thats why westerners are clamouring for him. However, economic realities would affect us all.

Do Tinubu have a stake in any of the DISCOS in Nigeria?

I love the points he raised

As for me, Tinubu is the only serious candidate for now

I can't wait to hear him speak more on his plans for Nigeria.

I fully agree with him on this.
Easier said than done.Is he not part of APC ruling part? Why is he talking like an idiot?

33. A Bill for an Act to Alter the Provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 to allow States Generate, Transmit and Distribute Electricity in Area covered by the National Grid; and for Related Matters.
Yes - 90
No – 0
Abstain – 0
Total: 90

The Bill is Passed!

The National Assembly is just working on moving Generation, Transmission and Distribution of Electricity from the Exclusive to the Concurrent list.

The states do not have the power to generate, transmit or distribute power in Nigeria for now.

Tinubu used IPP to solve power problems of LASG offices in Lagos. Google Island IPP and Alausa IPP. They powered hospitals and public infrastructure.

Tinubu, have you solved power problem in Lagos ?
Definitely you were not in Lagos when he was governor.

He solved it by building independent power plants for the use of Lagos but Obasanjo forced its transfer to the national grid.

Tinubu started the advocacy for power to be on concurrent list to enable States generate their own power.

Tinubu is different from Buhari. He has more capacity than Buhari. I'm still one of the few that believes that Buhari would have done better than this if not for the sickness which I considered to be spiritual attack to weaken him.

Therefore, Nigerians should pray for whoever gets there bcoz their are forces against leadership of this nation that stops them from doing the will of the masses.

Our solution is not shouting Tinubu or Osinbajo. It's a spiritual conspiracy against the leadership not to succeed but to do the will of the few. Every president wants to do well but they're limited by forces they cannot explain.

Buhari used to be a very strong personality. Now we all can see how he's been humbled to near vegetable that Malami dictates and direct at will.

Therefore, 2023 project should better be seen as a spiritual exercise that must be approached with prayers.

God have mercy on us.

Alaye if he want minister of power 5 secs buhari will not hesitate to give it to him because they are political partner in APC.

But the drug lord was busy doing godfather.it does not work like that.
If they shame him is even better he will never get APC ticket to fix electricity.
Let him and his electrical wand die with him there

Did Buhari and his camp (including Tinubu) not say similar seemingly nice things before, but after election what happened.

Nigeria should be weary of such kind of interesting words. Rather show us previous example!

Guy, abeg get sense na. Tinubu that Buhari pushed away, as soon as he entered Aso Rock in 2015, can influence Mr.President's thoughts and action how exactly?

I personally have no issues with anyone opposing Tinubu but, for your own sake and for the sake of how you are percieved, try to think and argue intelligently.

Most people know Buhari is conservative and precisely pushed Tinubu away because he percieves BAT as aggressively capitalist, reformational, a fan of decentralized democracies and a big advocate of devolving power away from the centre and towards other federating tiers of Government.

Tinubu is the last person the conservative and centrist-leaning Buhari would listen to, entertain or work with other than to win elections.
He push him away 2015 then the same Tinubu and his south west region voted buhari again for 2019

Is brain paining Tinubu and his yoruba followers or you are the only person that need brain clinic ?

Na by sepaking on plans?
Wake up..
Consider what Buhari promised during campaign and what he did after election.
Buhari promised to cleanse Nigeria off corruption, feed sch children, provide multiple jobs for the teeming youth population, build refineries, diversity the economy, provide security and was going to crush Bokoharam in maximum of 6months.
Oh! He even condemned foreign medical trip for public office holders.
As a matter of fact and time, he did none of that, infact he did the reverse of most if not all of what he said.
So, forget talk....you still can't be gullible in this day and age.
I remember the way they used to exemplify and dignify Buhari's body language and the so called "man of integrity status". Where's the integrity as at today?

Or do politicians swear oaths to become Devilish immediately after attaining power?
Thanks my brother, you have taken the bull by the head. It's unfortunate that all these promises and lies are what people want to hear. Men love falsehood than the truth. The only way out, is voting for the master's of all masters, who knows the end from the beginning. He's JESUS. Entrusting our nation into His hand and ask for the right leaders, He will do it

No wonder their educational institutions are all about define, list, highlights, explain.

When it comes to being pragmatic with their stupid theories, then issue will occur from no where.

I don't agree.

The high cost of credit is worse than that of power. India too has bad infrastructure but it's manufacturing is in much better shape because commercial borrowing are more affordable than ours.

In India, the bank lending rate is 8.8%. In Nigeria, it hovers around 20% if i am correct.
I concur because the rate of borrowing from bank and any other sources in Nigeria should never be above 6% for this economy to grow but double digits is a killer!
