shovel, chisel, hammer, steel range etc
They will even ask you to give them ordinary rope ( line) of N200, most of them comes to your site with 1 hands trowel nothing more.

I have my rule though.. if you want to work with me.. come with your tools . I learnt that even if you provide them with your own tools they won't handle it well.. either lost or damage them

I have someone who is very good at what he does,he will refuse to buy an ordinary measurement tape. And of course I provide it all but what he doesn't know is that if he buys a measurement tape today, tomorrow he will want to buy an angle grinder and that will put him on the path of owing his own workshop someday.

The window could not open or close. Internal plastering was poorly done (cement to sand ratio, 90: 10). A slight hit on the wall, it crumbles. The worst was the recess i told you to correct. I will post a picture of this so that people can see. Also, your plumber worked without covering some pipes, thereby blocking the pipes with cement during plastering. I just paid a plumber today to correct this. These are just a few your misdeeds. So stop posting nice building pictures to deceive people. What MOST people display here is at variance with what they do in reality. This is my prayer for you: The Lord will puni...sh you UNTIL you tender a SINCERE PUBLIC apology.

I have come to the conclusion that the system is the problem in this industry.
Not the clients
Not the contractors

If billions of Naira and lives could to be wasted just like that at the Ikoyi tower collapse, then we need not pretend that all is well with the system of the building industry.

This issue keeps resurfacing, it could be anyone tomorrow. They are not novel problems because there is a pattern- just that there is a platform to showcase them now.

In the same way that we now have a place to bring these issues, efforts should be made to find solutions toward tackling these chronic illness at the source.

Effective contract agreement
Training and education

I have said it times without number that you are an inveterate liar. Firstly, I contracted you to do ONLY a leakage/pressure test for me for a fee. And if there is any correction to be made on my building, I MAY contract it to you. After your back and forth promises of coming for the test, I paid you 35k for a dinning basin, which you promised bring along. Please remember that we ONLY AGREED ON THE LEAKAGE. One your day of visit, you didn’t come with any leakage testing device and my dinning base. This was after like 3months after payment

Did you provide enough cement or money for that job? Because the problem you are pointing out seem to be inadequate cement /sand ratio. Just a bag or two of cement would have solved this problem.
