Hello everyone. I’m using an agent for my student visa. He said supporting documents was requested in the visa application and that he should open an account for me with Scotia bank and I should deposit $5k in it. That I will complete the account setup once I’m there. Am I on the right path please? School admission and first semester payment have been settled already..

Dear Twoods,

The agent is not giving you the true state of your application, ask him or her the exact documents being requested from you, there is no correlation with supporting documents and opening an account in Canada. You need to quickly get the true position of your app.

Maybe you have been refused and he or she wants to do JR on your behalf. Or he/she wants to do final scam on you.

Judicial Review. This is a process of challenging a refused application. The amount varies from 3Kcad to 5Kcad

Well..not a student yet..I did apply for a masters program and got a recommendation for admission by the graduate committee last week. I am waiting for the official communication of offer from the graduate school. So not sure what your enquiry is and if I can be of help.

I attended two different secondary schools...one from Jss1 to Jss3 and another one from ss1 to ss2....I wrote my waec in a dinferent school as the school I was attending didn't let me write in Ss2...because of this I don't have a transcript and I wrote waec in 2017....will this affect my admission chances and do I need to write ielts as I've graduated for 5 years now...it's a B.Sc I'm going for....marine biology to be precise

When IRCC requests for additional documents, they will state exactly what they need from you, if it is statement they will say so, this opening of account in Scotia, no be am at all. Asking you to send your stamped statement is to confer legitimacy on the the 5k CAD he wants you to bring.

Ask the Agent to send you the request letter for additional documents and if he does not respond to you with the letter then know that there is something off with your app.

One agent wanted to lord over me, I did like mumu for him, I asked him for my login details and told him I wanted to see the documents submitted, immediately I got the login details, I yanked him off. I changed the password. He was so furious and issued threats.

He would ask me to pay CAD using USD rate.

He thinks people believes dollar is dollar.
