Can Nigeria ever have a left back as good as Taiye Taiwo again??

This guy was so damn good! He was fast, could dribble, was a good set piece taker and never afraid of shooting the ball at goal!Since he left the scence, none of the left backs we have produced have been half as good as him...
This post just reminded me again of Alaba embarassed

Na wetin I dey reason be this in the midst of the meltdowns

It is not just Eguaveon making this decision, it is the entire coaching crew and they are closest to the action, so, they know who to play

I am sure after the Tunisia game, they must have worked on what failed in the formation, to try it again

Like someone opined, just because Pep failed with a formation, does it mean he won't use it in the next game? Did Rohr not stick to a 4-4-3 even in the face of failure?

I'm not very confident in the Bonke guy, but if they are starting him, it must be for a reason

What exactly was the point of hiring Rigobert Song? Why did Cameroon fire their last coach? He did well

I wished he never left Marseille for AC Milan. But the truth was he had conquered French league and established himself bigger than the team when he left. It was only necessary he dared for a new challenge. And that was it.

How does Eguavoen think?
You pick Bonke who is a replacement not even a standby ahead of Onyeka who has been on the main list......

He's still using the same 2 man midfield.
Is the team list out?

It's the African problem with patronage politics, cronyism, padi-padi. Obviously a poor decision by Samuel Eto and the result are yielding.

Rigobert song's record with the B team of Cameroon is equally unimpressive and yet he is deemed fit for the first team. Perhaps Eto might be trying to replicate Nigeria's experiment with Eguavone or Senegal success with their former player turn coach too
