I wished he never left Marseille for AC Milan. But the truth was he had conquered French league and established himself bigger than the team when he left. It was only necessary he dared for a new challenge. And that was it.

Seriously that move to AC Milan looked great until it wasn't... Milan was on a decline at that time self.

The guy was really good ehn..very dangerous on set pieces... Made ligue 1 team of the season three times..I don't think there are many Nigerians that have made the team of the season in Europe top 5 leagues talkless of doing it twice!!

But it seems egu doesn’t rate onyeka, you can tell from the afcon
....and funny enough Bonke didn't make original list even not on standby list....hope he come good today.

He's been the standard for that position since 2006. I miss his boldness. Though he lapsed in defending sometimes

He would have done well as a winger or full back... Man was dangerous on the offense abeg!!
Just saw the highlight of his goal against Ghana in 2006

very well said.. But I for prefer Onyeka.. As long as Bonke no commit yeye fouls, I'm okay.. Looking at the latter's stats.. he is quite good in long balls.. wink
safarigirl:

Na wetin I dey reason be this in the midst of the meltdowns

It is not just Eguaveon making this decision, it is the entire coaching crew and they are closest to the action, so, they know who to play

I am sure after the Tunisia game, they must have worked on what failed in the formation, to try it again

Like someone opined, just because Pep failed with a formation, does it mean he won't use it in the next game? Did Rohr not stick to a 4-4-3 even in the face of failure?

I'm not very confident in the Bonke guy, but if they are starting him, it must be for a reason
