Good evening guys, for a while now I've been really looking forward and fantasizing on having an IT skill but inadequate funds have made me unable to. So right now the desire to learn it has just entered an entirely new level as I'm sick and tired of just sitting at home courtesy of the ASUU/FG brouhaha (I'm a final year student). So I need some clarifications on these 3 digital skills website designing (this is the one I have great passion for), programming and coding. I need the web gurus and experts on this kinda issue to explain maybe it's connected to one another, I mean if I learn programming does it mean I also have the knowledge of the other two(web design and coding). I'd really appreciate it if you take your time to explain to me in details. Thanks!

Web design could mean ui/ux, frontend coders etc
So next time say web development.

You can be a coder/programmer without being in the web development world.

. I really appreciate that you took your time to explain this to me. If I'm to start the ui/ux I would need a system (I don't have one yet). Laptop has grade so I don't know maybe you could point out the laptop range that will work for ui/ux with no glitch

Coder/Programmer/Web developer/web designer all boil down to same thing. web designing may not involve programming.

They are all free. You can use pen and paper to learn untill you get your system.

. OK boss, eventually if I want to get the system like what grade did you think would best suitable for the task? My budget is between 60 to 70k for a UK used system in probably comp village and I'm working towards it, or do you think that's to low for the task?

For the laptop spec the key is for it to have:
1. RAM recommendation is 8GB but if your budget is not enough then you can manage with 4GB.
2. Hard Drive recommendation is 512GB or 1TB SSD if your budget is not enough then you can manage 250GB minimum.
3. For CPU just go with what you can get with your budget.
4. Operating System if you want windows go for Windows 8 and above if your budget allows it.
5. Good battery life at least 6 hours of battery life.
