Scientific officers are mostly working in laboratory. Maybe the OP studied Chemistry, ICH or Biochemistry. I have a friend working in UITH, Ibadan as a scientific officer and She is working as a water quality control officer. So read about on water analysis if u will be in water lab.

I just dont think its a good idea to mention the name of the organization, the position ure applying for and your background and the date you are going for your interview on a public forum.
