Please I am very new to this meter thing

If I have about 6.21 units left , is my meter supposed to be beeping red

And also what unit amount would prevent it from doing that

Its telling you that you're low on power.

Bought 5k token, recharged it then got 8.17units .

Are these guys normal ?? IKEJA Electric ⚡️

They are thieves.

Ikeja electric has gone mad...

That's what they do now.

Seems they divert customers units and just give the about 8 units.

This is too bad. As of December i bought a Nepa token of ₦10,000 and was giving 144.83 due to that i was owing before the prepaid meter was fixed.
This night now i bought same ₦10,000 and was giving 89.74 and it's not from the very person i do buy from.

5k was 98 units I think in my former area. It won't even last a week.

You probably have some household gadgets that consume energy more.

I only power 3 energy saving bulbs
1 laptop computer
2 ceiling fans

What happened is that for every amount u purchase they deduct 100naira fixed charges fee
When buy 2k 1900/50= 38
When u buy 1k. 900/50=18...instead of getting 19units if u just divided by 2.. buying lesser amount reduced ur unit...this also how ppl who buy in bulk pay less for commodity..
Person who buys 10k now saves a lot ..from time, data, effort etc.even get more units..10k at once gives u 198units buh buying 10times gives 180units.

I'm in the FCT. Yes, some places are on a higher tariff charge. You're supposed to pay more if you enjoy minimum of 12 hours a day monthly average power supply.

I buy 40.6 KW for #2000.
On average, that's #50 for KW
On the 6th day, it reduces to 2.5kw.
I use the remaining 2.5kw for the next 2 days.

I have 45 bulbs at home but only put on 6-7 rotaionally. What consumes my kw is electric kettle.

On the average, we have 17hours daily.

I need help guys. I’ve been using this single face prepaid meter for almost 2 years now and I use to recharge on it constantly before I exhaust the current one. But I wasn’t around through out last week. On getting back home yesterday I noticed that I've exhausted the one I paid last time, then I took my phone to recharge #2,000 from buy power, after some minutes I got the recharge pin from buy power and I loaded it, but to my surprise it said failed, then I think maybe that wasn’t enough, I had to buy another #3,000 but I got the same error and lastly I bought another #1,000 making 6k. But none of the pin enter. Now I want to ask if there is a particular amount I have to buy before the light can on. I still have all the purchases on my app.
Thanks

Are you sure you recharged on the right meter number?

Did you purchase from the right EDC of your location?

your meter has entered tamper mode. You will need to visit the nearest PHCN office. You can as well try this code if your meter is memmcol
999 press enter
8888 enter

We just got our prepaid meter and we're about to make the first payment but we were told that the minimum amount we can pay is N13.5k.
Though we have a debt of around N160k but I don't know if this minimum amount we were told to pay covers only for the debt and the free 100 units or it is inclusive of the usable units or better still we will need to add up to have light?

Please guys, I need your response

Hello Everyone.

I just got a prepaid meter in my flat and I have been trying to recharge with 5k and 6k but it was rejected.
My question now is how much is the first time recharge. Even the people that installed it don't seem to know after asking several times.
The meter came with 265unit which has now currently reduced to 92unit.

Thanks to every helping out here.

Hi. I'm having similar issues with my prepaid meter after a tree branch hit my pole wires and sparked.. my meter tripped off and after putting it back on. It came on but refused load token..
Those codes you wrote..
Will they help in resetting the meter..
Thanks in anticipation
