Hello, to those that got this email (picture attached) from vfs Lagos for the first time, concerning passport stamping, how many days did you got your passport stamped later?

What is the days in between...
If you submitted to lagos , it takes 7-8 working days for your passport to get back to you

This video may be a little eye opener for intending visa applicants especially student visa route. More so, the danger in sensing dual intent in your application.

Hello Harold

You didn't disclose the degree you are getting admission for, if its BSc, Diploma or PGD.. But know that Transcript, Waec and Degree certificate are major requirements for Admission in most Canadian Schools...

As for the study gap, hope you have been engaging yourself in productive and innovative activities which can also be voluntary, since 2017 that relates to your proposed course, as this will further convince the admission officers for a favorable response..

Peace

Good morning sir....sorry for the delay....I'm going for an undergraduate degree in Marine Biology....since my graduation I've actually been studying Electrical Engineering at the undergraduate level but with the strikes and uncertainty in the educational sector I'm looking to change and honestly prefer Marine Biology but was made to study Engineering due to some factors outside my control...do they ask for explanations in study gaps for an undergraduate degree....I'm looking at Dalhousie University as my first choice and Guelph and New Brunswick as second choices as they all have marine biology as an undergraduate degree

Lol this was the exact refusal reason I got in my first application. But glory be to God, my second application got approved.

For a one year course, your living expense is 10,000CAD, that’s like 3million plus and you have only 1million in your personal savings account. These visa officers know that you can’t have access to a fixed deposit account for a period of time so that’s basically having nothing to them.

I used my sponsor’s fixed account of 10million and his savings account that had like less than 5million for a three year course. Lol I was naive.

What I did differently in the next application was that, my sponsor liquidated his fixed account and transferred the money into his savings account. He also transferred my remaining tuition and living expenses to my account. Then I submitted with a deed of gift

So since you’re self sponsored, I advice you to use money that you can have access to, not just a fixed deposit account. Liquidate your fixed account if possible, and put about 12,000CAD in your account.
Use a letter of explanation explaining what you did differently this time,
Also, support your application with all your business and employment documents, payslips, letter from employer, CAC documents etc

You can also wait for more solutions from other members.

God will perfect your next application in Jesus name

Thank you.

I might also try funding GIC with CAD10,000 that way the money is in Canada already. Or I should just leave the money in my Nigerian account

Just looking for solutions.

Hold on..

You said you want to renew your study permit. In essence, you want to apply for an extension?

If yes, hope you have not graduated or you still have like 7-6months before graduation?

You might check other threads like living in canada thread. You might get the info you need there.

Hello anon, must one have 6-7 months waiting, before graduation before such can apply for study extension?
