Well, that was totally disheartening! Everyone from Coach Eguavoen down to the players (except Osimhen) are to blame for this failure. Our midfielder's lack of confidence in threading forward passes was a big part in this debacle as well. Anyways, we can all watch and cheer an actual good team - D'Tigress - at their women's basketball world cup in September.. |

Congratulations to the NFF men who have made it a duty to destroy our football. You have turned our football to a branch of your politics. Where you write names of your boys that they must play. I hope you are happy now. |

Nigeria is a ticking time bomb. It’s been ticking since 2015 |

To Eguavoen, I hope you can see your handwork. I refused o write about this until after the playoffs. You want to satisfy big men. I hope you have satisfied them. How someone of your Calibre can stop so low to allow politicians dictate your list is embarrassing. |

dijon: I have waited for too long. I have hoped for years. I derive intense joy from football of Nigeria but, it is not going anywhere. We will still drop a better coach for a wack one. We will still make ceremonial selections. We will not invest in grassroots football. We will not have a proper and fair screening for our selection. We will not keep building the team. We will not push towards building a decent style of play. I do not see things getting better. |

Jasmine80:As you said, those were half chances. Any player in the world - be it Messi or Havertz - can miss those chances. However, he showed the most hunger of all the players over the 2 legs. Moreover, the Ekong and Balogun CB partnership would have been decimated at the world cup by much better opposing attackers. |

Jasmine80: ![]() Just read and pass. Aina was solid as usual. Onyeka did his best. Ekong and Balogun formed an iron Dome at Defense. We weren't threatened, just unfortunate to concede, thanks to our 34yrs old GK. Aribo was average, Lukman had an Assist to his name and played well. Dennis only on the Pitch to entertain us. |

Oga " na our own" lets support him even if he is of utmost mediocre without a known coaching practice for 10years. AE has always been a failure in the Nigeria national team set up whether at the junior level or the Senior level. TheGoodJoe: |

The following should be expected. Balogun to throw in the towel. Musa to still hang on. Ighalo to leave the scene for good. Shehu to continue with SE. This will happen in coming days |

TheGoodJoe:Were you not the one who advertised Amuneke and Eguavoen. You want to shift blame now. I hope you can see now that football is not played with sentiment. |

dijon: I see Eguavoen as a decent tactician but I also see him as a yes sir man. Just like how the ex Super Eagles players line up to celebrate Tinubu. Their loyalty lies in pleasing politicians and not Nigerians. Our preparation got messed up as soon as he started playing with the list. No proper preparation. I beg, I tire. |

Odunayaw:Atall. They fitted that narrative of playing with passion and prowess. Such teams, even if they lose, deserve accolades for the fighting spirit. That's what Senegal did tonight. The result, either way it went won't diminish such fact. |

JohnBullMySon: Learn to pay attention before jumping in. I do not doubt their tactical quality but I am bothered about the surrounding influence. Now read what you are writing if it is not off point. By the way, I was one who kicked against Eguavoen's appointment before you say I advertised him but I was impressed with his tactical knowledge of things. Our problem is beyond tactics. That is why a tactician like Oliseh had hell working with the team. Simple point. |

daveP:Dave, na scam be this. Loss distorts reality If with the way Senegal started by losing two penalties in succession, they went on to lose the penalities, no one will remember the 120mins they played. No one. There's no reward for fighting spirit when you're expected to win |
