A friend of mine was robbed around abule egba by thieves on bike around past 6 on her way to work. Her bag was stolen and it contained a few personal effect, about 2k in cash and her phone.
About past 11 she logged into her email on an old phone and saw email alerts of all her money taken from GTBank, Access and Union bank all totaling to N251,000 (airtime and ussd transfer to another account) at about 8:27 am. She is distraught and has been crying all day, she no gree console o. Life savings fiam!

My question is has anyone faced this and what steps can be taken to possibly recover the money from the bank since na their poor bank security allow unauthorized access to her accounts. Her ATM wasn’t even stolen, mehn I was shocked. She was robbed by 2 men and a bike man, one of the men was holding a big stick. Any suggestions for her?

I have big trust issues with Banks, I save my money in my piggy bank and I only keep small amount of cash for feeding well it's easy coz I'm a student I don't really need money like big money around for emergencies but some things are hard to avoid even if you are carefully , if she has the means they can find out where the money was withdrawn , they caught someone through atm cctv , she stole her friends card to withdraw at a bank but I don't know the details of how they knew which bank to go to coz they had to get a footage of her

They should trace the account where the money is transferred.....if I re waiting for the bank to refund u...u we wait till Ukraine wipe out Russia

Since it is GTbank and it is a transfer from GTbank to another (Narrate to them how it happened, get account statements). GTbank can be of help, so go to GTbank. But, she is lucky; they didn't purchase anything online accept airtime, it would've been untraceable. Calm her down and go to GTbank.
